Finally gave this place a try for brunch and was quite disappointed. First and foremost, their menu was not only quite limited, but also quite expensive compared to other HK style cafes/fast food restaurants. I was shocked when one of the employees told me that they didn't have ham, and that all they had was spam. Nonetheless, I ordered the thick egg sandwich and it was pretty bad; the egg was extremely bland and the bread wasn't even toasted or warmed up in the slightest. I also ordered the rice rolls with fish balls and turnips in peanut sauce, and it was just a soggy mess. The peanut sauce was clearly just dumped on top at the very end with a soup serving spoon and everything was drenched with peanut sauce.

The only reason why I didn't give this place a one-star rating was because my HK style lemon tea was pretty good. Otherwise, this was a disappointing experience for a place I was excited to try.

We wanted to come here for a while because of the many positive reviews online. The experience was fine overall, but it didn’t quite live up to the hype.

The Hong Kong–style Coffee was decent and probably the highlight of the meal.

We ordered Katsudon (pork cutlet with curry sauce) and Pepper Chop (black pepper pork). The main issue was that both dishes felt very similar. The fried pork cutlet seemed to be the same base for different menu items, with the main difference being the sauce on top. Once you’ve tried one, the others don’t feel very different.

The cutlet itself was okay but not especially tender, and the sauces didn’t add enough character to clearly distinguish the dishes. The sides were basic and straightforward.
The interior has a very old-school Hong Kong café feel, which might appeal to those who are familiar with or enjoy that style.

Overall, the food may suit Hong Kong tastes more, but for us it felt more ordinary than expected.

Nothing was bad, but nothing really stood out either. Acceptable, just not quite what the reviews led us to expect.

No Tipping Here!
.
Walk in, get seated, pick your language (English or Chinese menu). Order at the counter, grab your own utensils — they’ll bring the food.
.
This might be the best HK-style cafe I’ve tried.
.
What we ordered:
Thick Egg & Spam Sandwich ($6.50) — Fluffy, buttery egg. Spam’s spam. Bread was the only letdown: dry. If they used milk brea, it would’ve been perfect!
.
Fish Ball & Radish Rice Rolls ($9.95) — Drenched in sauce, 4 bouncy fish balls, 2 chunky radish slices. Solid, but wish the rolls came piping hot.
.
Beef Macaroni with Onsen Egg ($13.95) — Rich, thick, not-too-sweet tomato broth. Corkscrew pasta soaks it up perfectly. Fatty hotpot beef, grilled and placed ln top with a runny egg. Chef’s kiss.
.
HK French Toast ($9.95) — Same bread as the sandwich, but toasted = no dryness. Peanut butter brings the salt, syrup the sweet. Addictively good.
.
We loved it so much we grabbed scallion chicken rice and ox tongue spaghetti to go (for someone else — next time, it’s ours).
.
Prices run higher, but portions are huge, no tip needed, and entrees come in to-go containers. Can’t finish? Just ask — they’ll hook you up with a lid and bag.

Love this place! My significant other and I come here a few times a month. Even though it's pretty pricey, the portion sizes are huge! We always end up bringing leftovers home. My significant other loves the ramen soup with either the hot dogs or the spam. I recommend the salmon and the peanut butter rice rolls. Definitely get their iced Hong Kong style milk tea and the half-and-half tea/coffee.

The staff is so extremely nice especially the boss. My significant other is not Asian and usually when we go to Flushing, there's a lot of staring/awkwardness when we go to restaurants that are not staffed by younger people. Everyone here, though, is extremely nice and doesn't treat him any different than the Chinese people who come here.

AMAZING! Pretty legit HK cafe! Flavors and all are spot on, very rare these days. The beef noodle soup is insane, very strong tomato flavor. Prices are a bit expensive for this cuisine but, inflation I guess. Def worth tho. The restaurant itself is always very cozy HK style. Not the cleanest but it’s got the vibes. Can’t go wrong here for CHA CHAAN TENG foods. Yum!

Went here for the first time today because I was passing by from work. Wow, so glad I stopped here. They made the food fast and the food was so delicious. I had pineapple green tea and the beef macaroni tomato bisque with onsen egg. They were so sweet as well. Especially Stella. She helped me pack up the rest of the food to enjoy at home and she told me to put water to make it even better. The guy was also kind enough to print me two receipts so I can remember to come back here. I was talking to all of them at the end and it was such a positive experience. Thank you, Stella and everybody - KN

They are always busy at lunch time! We've been here multiple times, with different friend groups. Even though they are always busy, we don't mind the wait.
Food is so good, staff is friendly and nice. Definitely a must try if you are in the area.

The scallion chicken was good. I've ordered several different items and they made a mistake with one of the order, found out when I got home. Would I go back again, maybebut most likely no.

Love this place! The staff are always amazing, and the portions are generous. The things like sauces and stuff are self-serve and the food is great, especially for the price. There's sometimes a bit of a wait for seating but people come and go rather fast. Will definitely be coming again, I just wish they were open a little later.
