Marina's Dominican Cakes

ZERO STARS! DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! I WISH I READ THE REVIEWS FROM HERE not only from their new store name.

My sister ordered me a Dominican cake from here because that’s supposed to be their specialty. It was DRYY and the dye made it SOUR. It was gross. It wasn’t a sour that you can tolerate it was SOURRRRR. After talking on the phone with the cashier and owner, we left the party to drop off the cake so they would believe us and resolve the problem. On MY BIRTHDAY. We get to the store (20minutes later) . The owner leaves knowing we are coming and the cashier is not helping. No full refund or new cake. JUST RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL. DONT COME HERE. Waste of money. Horrible birthday experience.

This is the worst bakery I ever been to. The service is horrible. The cake itself was dry and the dye gave it a sour taste . Literally no one ate the cake . I took it back to the store and they were not willing to resolve the issue. Don’t waste your money ordering cakes from here!!

I have been getting dominican cakes for a long time +10 yrs at Marina’s over at the corona location, however, after covid and since they moved I haven’t been able to get to their new location for the past two years. I finally got to order a cake from their new location and I was very disappointed to say the least. Unfortunately the reviews for the new owners/location are spot on. The cake I ordered was extremely dry and couldn’t eat it at all.
Service was not great either, I got to the place wanted some candles and the lady at the counter was not very friendly and/or helpful, after the balance was paid for, she continued to be on the phone and so I just walked away (I’m sure she didn’t even realized the poor customer service she “provided”) the name on the cake consisted on some capitalized letters and some lower case all combined in ONE name.
It is very sad and unfortunate that Marina’s is no longer what it was under the new management.

So, my grandma has been coming to this lady (for birthday cakes) since I was 1 year old, & even I came for my own daughter's 1 year old birthday cake. (Mind you, am in my early 30s...)The cake looked great, EXCEPT the name was not spelled correctly; however on the cupcakes it was spelled correctly... (not sure how THAT happened?).... it was SUPPOSED to be 'Abrielle'; they spelled it 'Adrielle'. And for what I PAID for... smH cmon! If you're gonna mess up the name, at LEAST offer me a discount or some money back... ?So, Dominican cakes tend to be moist, THIS cake was NOT moist; everyone in the party was complaining & commenting on how DRY the cake was... ???.... so next year I probably will NOT be coming back here, unless Marina *herself* makes the cakes (because I know for a fact it wasn't Marina who baked the cake... it was some other Ecuadorian-looking lady).... ??????

Well. I tried, but unfortunately the reviews are spot on. Called earlier today to find out if they had whole trea leches cakes and they said they would call me back in 2 minutes… You guessed it, they never did…. I called back only to be hung up on twice, with the second time being an aggressive hang up. Just close the place if you can’t offer a good product or good service.

Marina I wouldn't change it for anything,
Many years eating their cakes,,
I moved to Florida but even when I go to NY, I ordered the cakes with them,
When it started, I remember, she lived in a studio, and she had to put the cakes on the bed,,, out of so many that were ordered, she and her son are an example to follow,, God bless them always,,,

Delicious, perfectly made, punctual and very good price, I went on Saturday to order a cake for my son's birthday which was the next day, I thought that maybe it couldn't be done with such a short time, and if possible there was a lot of willingness on the part of the staff to do it!!

Don’t waste your time coming to this place.

It hurts the service, the cakes are delicious but this is the second time they fail to comply with the order, it's terrible and no one gives a reason for anything.

Im horrified by the customer service of the lady , I have been a customer for more than 10 years and today I called cuz I needed a cake for tomorrow and this lady tells me well all we have is a white cake and its half a pound if you want it you take it if you dont well go somewhere else, I understand maybe they dont need the customer anymore but they need to humble themselves. The attitude that this lady has is horrified . Had to call another bakery and they where nice enough To accommodate.

I had my baby shower cake done here and they nailed it! I pitched them a vision and they made it come to life! I couldn’t be more impressed. The only thing that this place needs is a delivery person.
