This elegant sushi spot is a true gem serving everything from ultra-fresh sashimi to creative à la carte dishes—all packed with authentic Japanese flavor. 🍣

The sashimi was incredibly fresh, but the pizza sushi completely stole the show—crispy, flavorful, and unlike anything I’ve had before.

If you're craving top-tier sushi without the Manhattan crowds, this is your sign. Save this spot—you’ll thank me later. 😉🫶

Absolutely blown away by this hidden gem in Bayside!
From the moment you walk in, the ambiance transports you straight to a quiet corner of Tokyo — warm lighting, minimalist decor, and an intimate chef’s counter that sets the perfect mood for a true omakase experience.

Every dish was beautifully crafted and perfectly paced. The Toro Tartare was incredibly fresh and melt-in-your-mouth delicious, while the Miso Black Cod had that perfect balance of sweet and savory. The Foie Gras Roll? Pure indulgence.

Service was impeccable — attentive yet never intrusive, and the chef took time to explain the inspiration behind each course. You can really feel the passion and precision in every bite.

If you’re looking for high-quality Japanese cuisine with artistry and soul — this place is a must.
A true Art of Omakase experience. Will definitely return soon!

Went for dinner and ordered the prefix menu for the restaurant week.
The appetizer was amazing.
Ordered sushi and sashimi entre, which was good.
Also Ordered Maki set entre, which was a huge disappointment. Definitely not worth for $60!!
Dessert was good.
Will I return? 🤔
Staff needs more training on explaining those chefs specials. It was not impressive overall.

A tasty, cute, local spot that offers omakase as well as your traditional sushi/Japanese menu options with options for drinks too. Our favorite dishes to get are their Chilean Sea Bass with mushroom , truffle risotto and veggies, Masaaki Roll, and Eel Kamameshi Rice. Their sashimi dishes are also quite tasty and the omakase is affordable at just under $100.

The only drawback is that the omakase is in the back where they have bigger tables and separate rooms for a more private setting, which in my opinion takes away from the intimacy that is meant to be the purpose of omakase. But I would still recommend this place to eat at for any occasion, from a date night or dinner with family.

I rarely write reviews but I need to voice how much of a gem this place is. Been here several times with my girlfriend and it’s always amazing. Booked a reservation yesterday for my birthday, and was accommodated to the max. Had a few people in the party fall ill and they were able to seat the fourteen of us that made it, in a nicer intimate setting. The food and drinks are top notch. Your martinis will spill because of how well they fill them. The yellowtail jalapeño is one of the bests I’ve had, gives a little place you might of heard of, Nobu, a serious run for their money. All in all I love the ambiance and the food, and will be a regular. Also shout out to the server Kevin, just an incredible fun guy to be around, really just makes the experience that much better.

Masaaki – Your Next Sushi Spot in Bayside! 🍣🔥

If you’re into Japanese food, Masaaki in Bayside is a must-try! This place is huge, but still cozy with a modern vibe—perfect for a chill dinner or a special night out.

The food? So good. The sashimi platter is super fresh, the crispy rice tuna is packed with flavor, and the miso black cod is just chef’s kiss. They even have ramen, which hits perfectly on a cold day. 🍜

With a full bar, extensive menu, and solid prices, it’s no surprise this spot stays busy. Definitely worth coming back for! Who’s down for sushi? Tag your crew! ⬇️

This is absolutely the best Japanese restaurant in Queens. The food is always fresh and delicious. I don't eat sushi, but people have said it's on par with Japan. That's pretty impressive. Also, a shout out to Kevin. One of the best waiters I've had in any restaurant.

A modern Japanese gem in Bayside! Masaaki offers high quality sashimi, sushi, rolls, izakaya plates, and even omakase. Their menu is EXTENSIVE. Make sure to get their sashimi platter and rolls. They use premium raw fish that is fresh, fatty, and incredibly buttery.

The restaurant is clean and spacious, perfect for group gatherings or a cozy date night.

*Sashimi Deluxe $38 ***
The deluxe set consists of six assorted sashimi, including toro, salmon, yellowtail, and white fish. Every piece was fresh, fatty, and melt-in-your-mouth buttery. I loved the refreshing flavor and complex textures when I ate the sashimi with shiso leaf and shredded radish in a mouthful.

*Salmon Tartare $19.5 **
100% recommend this sushi starter! You can pick salmon/tuna/toro as your raw fish topping. It was beautifully garnished with flowers and fish roe, drizzled in a yuzu ponzu sauce. The diced avocado was creamy and the citrusy note enhanced the depth of flavors.

*Sweet Heart Roll $21 *
They have a wide selection of creative rolls. These heart-shaped rolls were not only pretty but also delicious. Tuna fans would love this roll.

*Rainbow Roll $19
You can never go wrong with this classic roll combo: topped with salmon, tuna, white fish and avocado, and filled with crabmeat and cucumber

*Chicken Yakitori $12
Saucy and smoky. The chicken breast was delicious with green pepper and onion.

EXTREMELY RUDE MANAGER! I booked online for a party of 8 and requested to be placed in the main dining area. The manager Tony called me back 3 days later saying that they can only seat up to a party of 5 in the main room. I told him that we have definitely sat there before with a group larger than 8! He said ‘no you have not’! I definitely have on a Saturday night prime time. He kept saying that I never did! My mother is 80 and cannot take the cold in the back spill over room. I explained it to him and he said that doesn’t matter, the front room is reserved for regular reservations. I told him that we are a regular reservation! Very unprofessional. Will never go again.
