An Absolute Gem in Astoria! While visiting New York, I was introduced to MAYAHUEL in Astoria—and let me just say, it’s hands down the best Mexican restaurant I’ve had in a very long time. We sat outside and enjoyed an unforgettable dinner in a cozy, welcoming setting.
The queso fundido with chorizo and the guacamole with chips were beyond amazing—some of the best I’ve ever tasted. Then came the Enchiladas Suizas, and wow… the salsa verde was truly next level. Every dish was bursting with authentic flavor and made with care.
This spot is a must-visit for anyone craving outstanding Mexican cuisine. I’ll be recommending MAYAHUEL to everyone—and I absolutely can’t wait to return! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

What an A M A Z I N G place to dine. Been here multiple times with friends and family and I always forget to leave a review. The decor is stunning, the service from the host to the waiters are simply unmatched. Now, the food! Simply amazing a very traditional but upscale, authentic as well! Shout to the chief! The best in Astoria for Mexican food period. From the drinks to the food, amazing. Everyone was friendly, service was fast, food was fresh as can be and tasted great as well. Ivan, who is part owner and manager, was so welcoming and down to earth. Our bartender David was awesome and knew how to make the best margaritas. Come here, you won’t be disappointed!

Terrible and slow service. We got bottomless and they took forever for the drinks to come. Server acted like we were crazy when we were ordering drinks. Drinks also gave the worst hangover I ever had. Food was average and overpriced.

delicious food and drinks. i came for the happy hour solo and sat at the bar. the service was super friendly and i have no complaints. i had 2 passion fruit margaritas and enjoyed the nachos with chicken. i came here from harlem and will definitely be back with friends next time!
