Excellent Restaurant, very cozy, clean, tidy, very attentive and helpful staff, I loved the Guacamole with salad and nachos, my steak tacos were super delicious, the rice and beans were not to mention, my cocktail was excellent... we will definitely return

Got lunch with my friends and had a great experience! Service was great! Took a little bit to get food but was well worth the wait. Atmosphere is amazing and so cute. We got the chilaquiles and chicken milanesa.

Visited the restaurant on early Saturday afternoon for brunch. Immediately.I noticed décor very nicely decorated and was a bit bigger than I thought it would be. I sat at a table outside in the front of the restaurant since it was nice sunny day.My waiter MO, explained how the promotional GRPN worked. I decided on the Concha French toast with a side of bacon, and I also had the non alcoholic frozen Hibiscus. The hibiscus drink was very refreshingand very flavorful . I loved the concha french toast... It was not overwhelmingly sweet and had a tiny bit of crispiness to it. Even with the fruit, cream, and syrup. My bacon was cooked perfectly not too crispy and not too soggy.Service was fantastic, MO was definitely attentive, without being overbearing. There is no doubt I will be returning with friends to try several other dishes..Mayahuel is definitely a very welcome addition to the neighborhood !

I am a man who appreciates nachos. I’ve eaten a lot of different nachos over the years. This place - hands down - has the best nachos I’ve ever eaten in my entire life.I randomly happened upon Mayahuel on my way elsewhere and was absolutely blown away with the chorizo nachos. Every chip perfectly covered in toppings in the perfect ratio. Delicious margaritas. Solid vibe.Truly… fantastic nachos.Check it out and enjoy, people.

The design of the restaurant is beautiful. The food was average. The servers seemed very green, inexperienced and unsure. They asked excessive questions all through the meal. They were friendly and helpful with good attitude. One issue that I find unbelievable is that there is a photographer in the restaurant going around taking photos and trying to sell them to you while you are eating! This is extremely bothersome and I will never come back for this reason. I go out to dinner to enjoy the company of my friends and good food, not to ensure a salespitch. I get enough of that on the subway.

Let me start by saying the hostess was very nice and helpful. Our server was great as well. We came here for a friends birthday brunch celebration and we had a great time. I got the concha french toast which was very good. Not too sweet either. My friend got the steak chilaquiles which they said was delicious. My other friend got the fish tacos and said they were good too. If you are really hungry i suggest getting the chilaquiles as the portion was bigger. We also tried the guac and it was decent, too much cilantro for me. The margaritas were strong and delicious. Would definitely come back here!

Nice place, great service. Everyone I was with really enjoyed their food, I didn’t like the Chile a la Nogada - the ground pork lacked a lot of flavor. Otherwise the apps were great.

Went here on an anniversary brunch with the wife. AS SOON as we walked in we were blown away. This place is not only beautiful, but the food was amazing! We had Moe as our server. Service didn’t get better than that. I would DEFINITELY recommend this place to anyone.

Absolutely excellent! This place did not disappoint AT ALL. Having multiple Mexican restaurants very close to their location they stand out for their authenticity to the Mexican flavors. Julio was an excellent host as one of the owners/managers. So happy I had that experience at mayahuel, definitely going back.

The food is good. The service is unfortunately very slow, but it's a pretty restaurant with a nice atmosphere. Definitely a nice place to eat if you're not in a rush.

Mayahuel is absolutely the best Mexican restaurant I’ve eaten at in the Astoria area! The food is clean, fresh and traditional while also being fun and creative. The staff was incredibly attentive, even while the restaurant was busy, and the restaurant itself was beautiful and impeccably clean. I can’t wait to go out to Mayahuel again!
