NEVER buy take out during lunch time in this restaurant! In the menu they offer lunch for certain dishes. But when you order for take out, they automatically charge you dinner price, no matter when you are buying it. What’s even worse is that they charge you dinner price, but the portion is the same as lunch! They never provide different portion for lunch and dinner! For this lunch I paid for $24! Won’t come back any more.

I’ve been wanting to try this restaurant for sometime now. Now that I have, I wonder why I did. The restaurant was pretty quiet for noon. on Saturday, but the seating was spacious and comfortable.
We both wanted to order Donburis, but I thought we should order a maze soba since it’s supposed to be what they’re known for. My friend ordered a Gyudon Skiyaki, I ordered a Sake Caviar, and we shared a Beat Mazemen.
I didn’t think the salmon tasted particularly fresh and they were pretty stingy with the salmon roe. (it didn’t look at anything like the restaurant photo) The mazemen cooked was well cooked and still al dente but whatever sour seasoning (maybe ponzu) was on the bottom of the bowl just didn’t seem to pair well for me. I appreciated the soft poached egg, but didn’t like the combination of rice and noodle. Overall, everything was ok. Nothing tasted bad, nothing was exceptionally good.

Beat mazesoba offers an excellent dining experience with its innovative take on Japanese cuisine. The restaurant's mazesoba dishes are the main attraction, combining delicious flavors and textures.

The Beat mazesoba is a standout dish. It features a perfect combination of tender pork belly and flavorful ground pork, topped with a jammy onsen egg that adds richness when mixed in. The dish is further enhanced with scallions and arugula, providing freshness and a slight peppery note. The sauce has a delightful smoky soy flavor that ties everything together. A splash of rice vinegar, provided on the side, adds a pleasant acidity that cuts through the richness.

The Curry mazesoba offers a different but equally delicious experience. The curry sauce is creamy with a slight sweetness, complementing the ground pork perfectly. It's a comforting dish that brings a unique twist to traditional Japanese curry.

For starters, the Salmon avocado salad is a refreshing choice. The salmon is marinated in a flavorful blend of sesame oil and soy sauce, giving it a rich, umami taste. It's served with creamy avocado and tangy capers, creating a well-balanced dish. The salad also includes a spring mix and comes with two types of ginger and a special dipping sauce, adding layers of flavor and texture.

The restaurant has a clever concept of serving rice with the mazesoba. This allows diners to mix the leftover sauce with rice after finishing the noodles, ensuring not a drop of the delicious sauce goes to waste.

While the food is undeniably delicious, the indoor environment could be improved. The seating area is a bit dark and stuffy with limited air circulation. It's unfortunate that the outdoor seating wasn't open, as it would have provided a more comfortable dining atmosphere.

Despite the minor issue with ventilation, Beat mazesoba is definitely worth visiting for its delicious and unique food. The restaurant's approach to Japanese cuisine makes it stand out among local dining options, offering a truly satisfying meal experience.

I had a great experience at Beat Mazesoba! We tried the yuzu shio mazemen, shoyu ramen and karaage. If you're coming here for the first time, then you must try the MAZEMEN! It was spectacular. They also serve a side of rice so use that to finish off the remaining sauce. The ramen wasn't my favorite, but the broth was light and tasty. The karaage was super crispy and yummy! The atmosphere was great as well, the decor was cute and inviting. I would definitely come back ?

Beat Mazesoba is SO UNDERRATED how come no one raves about this spot on social media??? It is such a hidden gem specialized in mazesoba in Flushing near the Broadway LIRR Station. I am so hyped and keep telling my friends how delicious their food are. THEY DESERVE MORE BUZZ!!

*Beat Mazemen***
The signature mazemen itself deserves all the stars. It is a brothless hot soba topped with marinated ground pork, thickly cut pork belly, nori, onsen egg, and half ramen egg.

I suggest mixing the ramen first and add the vinegar when you are halfway through. They serve a mini bowl of rice on the side for you to clean every drip of the flavorful sauce.

*Tuna Yukke Bowl
The tuna bowl is topped with hearty chunks of raw tuna, cucumber and shredded tamago. Shoyu on the side. It is like a giant poke bowl.

*Shoyu Ramen
Although they are more known for mazesoba, their ramen is also delicious. They have options like miso, shoyu, shio and kimchi ramen.

Beat Mazesoba is tucked away in a fairly distant area, especially quiet during weekdays. I discovered this place by chance and found its Yuzu Shio Mazemen to be a must-try. It was perfectly seasoned, with each bite leaving an unforgettable flavor. However, their plain soba, like zaru soba, was a bit underwhelming without much highlight. So, be sure to choose your order wisely when visiting.
