I woke up one day feeling like I was coming down with a cold. I ordered 32oz of the lemon orzo soup (avgolemono soup) and the next day I felt completely fine. I think the soup cured me! It was also truly EXCELLENT soup. It was really lemony, and really thick and creamy. I'm really, really picky about avgolemono soup and this is it.

Met our son up from NC for brunch at Michael's restaurant. Wonderful experience. I had a delicious crab meat omelette. Omelette was tender and delicious. Great service, very attentive and we weren't rushed out so we could catch up. I highly recommend Michael's restaurant if you're in Astoria and looking for a nice place to eat. We traveled from Eastern Long Island, about 50 miles, and it was well worth it.

Great food with a side salad option . The veal parmigana is outstanding. The best ranch and great desert selection. Friendly attentive service

Ordered an eggs benedict. The hollandaise sauce came out curdled. I asked the waitress if this is how it’s supposed to be and she said yes. On the menu it says 14.95 and they charged me 15.95…
Not only did they mess up a classic dish that any diner should be able to make, they tried to gaslight me and charged me extra

One of the oldest dinners in Astoria with good big portions, nice tasty food and the waters and waitress are really friendly and attentive to what customers want to eat.

I went to Michael’s with a group of 8 friends around 3:30 AM, and I can honestly say it was one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. As soon as we were seated, our waitress made it clear we weren’t welcome. She was shockingly rude, rolling her eyes at us any time we asked a question about the menu. Her responses were dismissive and short, usually just a blunt “we don’t have that,” with zero explanation or effort to be helpful.
The attitude was so off-putting and disrespectful that we didn’t even stay to eat. Our entire group was so uncomfortable and grossed out by her behavior that we decided to walk out. For a place that’s open late and likely caters to larger groups and late-night diners, I expected at least the bare minimum of courtesy, not hostility.
Really disappointing. I would never recommend this place based on how we were treated. Do better.

Michael's is part of a dying breed in the city. A 24-hour diner with a full menu. Everything I ever had here was good, and the staff is friendly and attentive. Most of the time being in Michael's is a time warp, the same at 2 PM and 2 AM.
Weekend brunch comes with 2 drinks so if you ever wanted 2 screwdrivers at 11:30 AM on a Saturday along with a huge omlette, they got you.
