Really good food.. I love love the collards. But all the food I have had is great.. The catfish is crispy and taste good..The french toast was good. The red Sangria is good. I had other foods from there also good...The past two times I have been, the servers were horrible in which I think is why we waited so long for our food however, the food is good...good location.. good street parking on side blocks. Overall, good little spot. But they need better servers. The MANAGER or owner ..not sure who he is ..is always friendly and welcoming.

Nettie's was an absolute gem! The food was AMAZING with excellent service. The owner recognized we were new to the restaurant and introduced himself. Very friendly! It was a wonderful experience! Between the old-school R&B playlist and the finger-lickin' good food, my stomach, taste buds, and soul was very satisfied. An added bonus: they don't cook with pork! Yayyyy!! I would totally recommend to others and return again the next time I'm in town.

Dietary restrictions: They don't cook any of their vegetables with pork.

What an amazing dining experience! Went with my family for brunch a few weeks ago and had such a wonderful time. The staff go above and beyond and I think their solid leadership is their motivation.

I can’t wait to try dinner out.

It’s so exciting to support a solid Black owned local business.

If you are in the Southeast Queens area and looking for a brunch/lunch spot with delicious soul food check out Nettie's! Firstly, the customer service is great from the hostess, servers, waitress, and the owner. My family and I were treated like VIPs!
The waitress Janaella is sweet, professional, and cool 😎!
The owner Danie is warm, motivating, hospitable, and professional.
He told us Nettie's is named after his mother...so sweet!
The place is beautifully decorated, spacious, and clean.

My wife saw this place and we decided to give it a shot and we are happy we did. We were greeted by the owner Danny when we entered and he was very personable and funny. We started with drinks which were good and i had the fried chicken potato salad and collard greens my wife had the fried whiting mac & cheese and yams. Everything was flavorful. I will be having the whiting when we go back again. Also good music and atmosphere. Highly recommended.

This is quickly becoming my new local spot. I gad a friend tell me about it and I'm glad I went. The owner is VERY hands on and is a constant face in the restaurant. He's not above picking up plates and serving them. Go, see, and enjoy the vibe.

I’ve always passed by this spot on my way home, and after checking out the menu and glowing reviews, I knew I had to experience it for myself. Finally, the day came!

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly and waited about five minutes before being seated. My daughter and I got a high-chair table, which was surprisingly comfortable. The service was decent, but at times, I felt a bit forgotten by our waitress—until Mr. Dennis himself stepped in. Not only did he introduce himself, but he immediately recognized us as new faces and made sure our meals arrived promptly. His hospitality was top-tier, making us feel right at home.

Now, let’s get to the real star of the show—the food! We ordered the French toast with turkey bacon, a Country Breakfast, mac and cheese, cornbread, orange juice, coffee, and a red sangria.

✨ The French toast? My daughter devoured the entire plate—no crumbs left behind.
✨ The cornbread? Soft, flavorful, and just the right consistency.
✨ The mac and cheese? Hold up—let’s take a solid three seconds of silence because this was hands-down the best I’ve had. PERIOD.
✨ The catfish? Crispy, moist, and seasoned to perfection.
✨ The eggs? Fried just right.
✨ The biscuit? Fluffy and delicious.
🚫 The grits? They lost me—lacking that bold flavor punch the rest of the meal had.

The coffee was strong and bold—Mr. Dennis joked that it’s Starbucks, and honestly, it hit just right. The sangria? Smooth, refreshing, and absolutely delicious.

Overall, this place did not disappoint. Mr. Dennis truly knows how to make guests feel valued, and his attention to detail shows in the food. I’ll definitely be back for that mac and cheese and catfish, and I’m excited to explore more of the menu. If you haven’t been here yet, add it to your must-try list—you just might find your new favorite spot!

I went to Nettie’s for the first time today with my family to celebrate a special date. I love soul food but many restaurants do not live up to the name, but Nettie’s food was superb. Everything I ate was delicious. I tried a little of what my family members order plus what I ordered so I got to taste quite a bit. Everyone claims to have the best Mac and cheese but this Mac is a hidden gem. It was bursting with flavor. The string beans and collards were amazing and it’s hard to get me to enjoy my veggies lol. The fried chicken was crispy yet flavorful and my mom order the fried catfish- felt like I was in Louisiana! Fish was fresh! I hope to see this business expand in the future because they have a lot to offer. The service was also phenomenal, the business owner, Danny, came over to shake our hands and greet us, and even served us fresh coffee himself. It’s great to see the business owner working hand in hand with the staff. It shows staff appreciation. I will be returning to this place and I highly recommend. Thank you!
