Great lunch special options.
We had jjampong which is a spicy hand pulled noodles with seafood. Their broth has deep oyster/seafood taste and it was one of the best I had.
Combination of various dishes and jajangmyon (brown noodle) are great.
I took out shrimp with brown noodles and dumplings for my son and he loved it.
I got the sweet and sour beef (Tangsuyuk) for my in-laws and they really enjoyed it.
Quick and efficient service. Definitely coming back to try other dishes.

I really think the waitress who works here needs to change her job.
Every time I go, I end up spending money and feeling bad.
And overall, I don't think they know how to provide hall service.
However, the busboy was very friendly.
I like Jjamppong so I want to keep going,
I don't want to go anymore. Anyway, good luck.
As you can see below, there are a lot of complaints about hall service. I thought it would be just me... But there was a review like that for a long time, so I'm curious as to why you haven't fixed it yet...

My family had lude waiter service few months ago.
And today got bad taste foods.
Changed chef again?
Owner has big problems still?

The attitude of the server was insincere, especially the food often had burnt remains, and the onion skin was chewy. Although it tasted good, the food was in poor condition, so I don't want to come here again. Not this once.

The restaurant looked pleasant, though the food was a bit heavy. I ordered black noodles and my husband ordered lunch set #3.
The waitress must have thought she was at home. She put her hand on the back of my chair while watching the TV. When I gently pulled my chair up a little, she seemed to dislike it. She threw the change tray when she returned with our change for the bill.

New York Ban Jum is a hidden gem for anyone craving delicious Korean-Chinese food!
I went with a group of eight, and despite the size of our party, they accommodated us quickly and efficiently. The staff was friendly, and the service was impressively smooth. We were seated and served without any delay.
The food was far beyond our expectations. We ordered the Jjajangmyeon set menu with spicy garlic chicken and sweet & sour pork, as well as beef bibimbap. Every dish was bursting with bold, authentic flavors, and the portions were generous.
The seafood jjampong was another standout—packed with fresh, flavorful seafood in a rich, spicy broth. It was the perfect balance of spice and freshness.
Overall, everything tasted better than we expected, and we’re already planning our next visit. Highly recommend this spot for Korean-Chinese cuisine!

Don't be fooled by reviews.
Today is my 3rd visit in an unavoidable situation, but their service manner wasn't changed.
I think it seems like the owner guy doesn't know how to treat guests. So pathetic.
The food tastes not much special, just ordinary.
Only UniJjajangmyeon was ok.
Anyway, last visit time when we asked to go to the room, they said we couldn't because they were all booked, but we could see the empty rooms until we finished eating and left. I don't know why, but I felt deceived. That's very unpleasant. The serving staff had a very rigid attitude. I can only give the service score zero.
Definitely, I wouldn't go back there again and can't recommend this place.

That's really true. It's #1 among the 3 states of New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.

Came with my parents. I ordered the Jjam Jja Myun and my dad had the Jja Jang Myung which was decent, nothing too crazy. We also ordered the Ggan Pungi (Fried Chicken with Spicy Garlic sauce). It was a bit spicier than I was used to and not as crispy as some of the other restaurants but was still good.

They said last order should be placed by 8:30pm and so we placed some extra orders and then 30 minutes later they told us to finish it up because they were closing at 9pm. While we were eating they pulled down the front gate and turned off few lights. Literally they were chasing us out. They shouldn't never took our extra orders. The owner is money hunger guy. Never will go back there again. Also don't rely on the review. Most of them are friends and relatives.
