Was in the neighborhood and my son was in the mood for Korean food. He went in and ordered fried rice which he just absolutely love in general. It took awhile for them to make the order but after getting it and him tasting it, it was an absolute hit. For $12, he got a large portion of fried rice along with a small side of kimchi and soup. The fried rice was cooked perfectly and you could taste the large chunks of bulogi beef and the rice wasn't clumpy at all. Hence, we didn't mind it taking a bit long for the food to come out. Definitely would recommend this place.

I've been to a lot of kimbap restaurants in New York and New Jersey, and it's so ridiculous that this is the only place that charges taxes on kimbap, even though I paid it in cash...

Comfort bunsik food. It's not extraordinary, but if you're looking for a quick bite, this is a good spot. The combo gimbap didn't have much flavor. I didn't see the ham inside my gimbap; it just tasted like mushrooms. I didnt like how they used lettuce instead of cooked spinach. The fried chicken breading was good---it had a nice crisp. But ratio of chicken and breading was off; it was more like fried dough. Chicken was also dry. I liked the tteokbokki and gimmari. Tteokbokki wasn't too spicy and they were generous with the veggies. Gimmari was 3 for $5. Kinda pricy for just fried noodle rolls, but they were relatively big, I guess. I paid around $37 for my food.

A spacious Korean restaurant on Northern Blvd, serving kimbap and other simple Korean dishes. While the restaurant is a bit of a hole in the wall and there really is no service to speak of--you order and pay upfront, take a seat, and self-serve water while waiting for the food to arrive--the staff are extremely sweet and polite, and the food is authentic, delicious, and reasonably priced. * Rapokki 라볶이 $16.00 Sweet, spicy, and deliciously addictive-- with Korean rice cakes, ramen noodles, eomuk (Korean fish cakes), cabbage leaves, onions, and spicy gochujang sauce. The portion was huge, and just this one dish shared between two left us both feeling incredibly full. * Crispy Chicken Small (3pcs) $5.00 I agree with the other reviews; the crispy chicken was mostly rice puffs and batter, not chicken. That said, I love how the chicken was extra crunchy yet not at all oily or greasy. My partner hates fried foods but even then, he ate quite a few pieces. * Pork Cutlet Kimbap 돈까스 김밥 $8.00 * Bulgogi Kimbap 불고기 김밥 $8.00 Their kimbap list is extensive, so we went with two of their best sellers. We definitely over-ordered, so by the time the kimbaps arrived, we were already feeling quite full. Still, we made room and ate a few pieces of the pork cutlet kimbap. My partner oddly grimaced on the first bite, and after taking a piece for myself, I completely understood. For some reason, something in the kimbap tasted off, like a dirty towel, and sadly, every piece after was the same.

I don't usually write reviews, but I felt compelled to write this one for Nolbu Sushi. We ordered 2 Prince kimbap rolls, but were given 2 Princess kimbap rolls instead. Out of curiosity, we tried a couple of pieces but were not completely satisfied with them. We went back to Nolbu, and they gladly rectified our order. They gave us 2 freshly made Kimbap rolls and 2 complimentary sweet rice drinks. The lady behind the counter was very nice and apologetic. We will continue to order their fresh and delicious kimbap rolls. Their crispy chicken tenders are also very addictive.

Small place so it's mostly takeout. I only had the kimbabs and the crispy chicken. Kimbabs were fresh and tasty. The crispy chicken super crispy but a bit dry but overall very good. Prices are very reasonable for what you get. Good lunch place for takeout.

Even with two other competing kimbap spots within a 2 block radius, Nolbu is still and always will be my preferred kimbap spot. I've been coming here since I was in elementary school and their quality has been the same or even better since. They have an extensive selection of Korean comfort food and affordable kimbap, which are all reasonably priced. The prices have gone up because of inflation, but even then it's worth it because they're very generous with their portions and fillings. My go to order is usually their eel avocado kimbap, but all of them are loaded and just as good. Sometimes they'll have some pre-made items like dumplings and such. I highly recommend trying their crispy chicken tenders! They coat it with Rice Krispies and it makes them extra crispy, but still very juicy. They surprisingly stay crispy for a while too, so it makes it great for potlucks and similar occasions. There's pretty limited seating in there, but it's pretty much cafeteria style. I usually order take out, but in the past I've gotten my food and eaten there too. You'll be responsible for getting your order and cleaning up after yourself though.

My second visit here but first time eating in.I ordered the omelet with tomatoly rice; delicious, satisfying and filling. The second dish was their famous chicken stripes; so crunchy juicy and fresh. What is a visit here without an order of kimbap ?Their most popular is the pork belly kimbap; slightly spicy and delicious. It was a lot of food!Service us great and friendly.A great place to eat.

Absolutely delicious! I got toe 3 Kimbaps: bulgogi, spicy bulgogi, and pork cutlet. They were great. We took it to go. Service was fast and they have us free miso soup as well. Can’t wait to go back.

Avoid ordering the sausage kimbap; it's not worth it. The kimbap contains raw spinach, which should be cooked, and despite being listed with carrots, there are none included.

This is a very unassuming Flushing mom & pop Korean restaurant on Northern Blvd and though it's called Nolbu Sushi, the menu is mostly Korean dishes and kimbap. A small corner of the menu has more traditional Japanese style sushi, but we haven't tried those yet. Even though kimbap shares many ingredients and a similar look as more delicate maki sushi rolls, kimbap has its own style with cooked meat & pickle fillings and every seaweed wrapped rice roll is gigantic, similar to a Futomaki roll. A typical kimbap roll is about 1.5"-2" diameter sliced into 10-11 pieces that could be a meal by itself. On this recent visit, we started with a Pork Belly Kimbap, but pork belly was lacking in flavor. For some odd reason, I really liked the Spam Kimbap. Maybe it made me reminisce all the spam musubi we had on our recent Hawaii trip. The salty luncheon meat brought out the flavor combination of the rice, nori, pickled veggies and mayo. Of course, we had to have the Crispy Chicken Fingers. The crispy popped rice coating keeps them extra crunchy, even if you take it home and the homemade honey mustard sauce is a great dip. We had ordered a large catering portion of chicken fingers to a pot luck BBQ last year and our cousin that doesn't eat fried foods scarfed up 5-6 of them.We also ordered other dishes to have family style, but I'm surely going to order them for myself next time. The Bulgogi over Rice was really tasty, but the Beef Dumpling Soup was AwESomE! There were only 6 dumplings per bowl, but they were the biggest dumplings I've ever seen and there was even potato vermicelli on the bottom. But what stole the show was the milky bone broth, which was packed with flavor, as if it had been simmering for a week or more.

I heard this was the best kimbap store in NYC and had to check it out. It really is. The rice is perfect, good quality, not dry. The kimbap doesn't fall apart, the bulgogi was fresh, good quality ingredients.Parking: Parking lot in the back with lots of space

The CHEESE TTEOKBOKKI taste the best!!! Even though the cheese is not melting one, but the sauce is really good! Kimbap are okay, I tried Tuna Kimbap, Spicy tuna Kimbap and spicy bulgogi Kimbap, they are all good. But I don’t recommend the crispy chicken sticks. It’s very chunky but the fried powder layer is toooo thick, the chicken actually is very littleThe staffs are friendly here, even they might not know English well. Overall, it’s 4 stars
