Food is overall good but the service is very very slow. Also the restaurant was very cold with little to no heat for such a cold night

I went to celebrate Valentines day, it was freezing outside, and there was NO HEAT in the restaurant. I had to keep my coat on the entire time. I ended up very sick! With the prices they charge, it is unacceptable they don't put heat. The food was ok, but nothing out of this world. NOT WORTH IT!!!

Awful do not eat!!!!!
We made a reservation. They told us they had no tables and it be a 30 minutes wait.
What is the point of a reservation then?!

Love this restaurant their food is soooo good and tasty their presentation and details are also great. Am becoming a regular now for their oysters and cava. Their brunch menu is also very tasty. Everything is cooked and seasoned to perfection. Prices are reasonable too. Perfect for a date night but also for a just because meal.

This place stinks. We made a reservation and they had no tables and told us it be a 30 minute wait. Not even an apology Nobody should go to this place with that kind of behavior
Just delicious and nice staff!
I trusted the rave reviews and wish I hadn’t.
The owner confirmed that the salmon is overcooked on purpose because too many people were sending back the slightly pink fish so instead they overcook it to the point of char. Sent it back once I realized it was inedible and declined a replacement, yet was still charged full menu price which is a bit baffling.
The happy hour oysters are a good deal (minimum of 6) even if the accompaniments (plain cocktail sauce, a sad mignonette, and a heap of prepared horseradish) leave something to be desired.
Honestly, It’s not the vibe. The kitchen was unhurried, the service was inattentive, the food underwhelming and overcooked, and the owner was combative.
Give it a miss. There are better spots in Astoria.

Sand in clams, food poisoning, and poor and slow service.
My 1.5 year old and I got food poisoning from the clams linguini. There was also sand in the clams, which means they weren’t properly cleaned which is entirely unacceptable for a seafood restaurant. Also we didnt know they had highchairs until my husband found some on the way to the bathroom. When he picked it up to carry back to our table, the server was like “oh you should have asked we would have brought it!” Um, no. You should have offered when we walked in with a toddler. Service was slow. And even the non-food poisoned food wasnt very good. The fish in the fish and chips was overcooked and tough

Lovely place! I visited yesterday, and the atmosphere was absolutely charming, with a castle-like vibe that made it feel special. The food was excellent—clean and plump oysters that were truly a delight. The cocktails were phenomenal; I left feeling both happy and just the right amount of tipsy.
The service was top-notch. The waitstaff gave great recommendations, were attentive, and created a welcoming experience.
After seeing some reviews, I couldn’t help but wonder what some people are expecting from restaurant staff these days. During my visit, I noticed a customer repeatedly asking for food prices, despite having the menu right in front of him. He even tried to create his own dish, which isn’t really the point of dining out. Restaurants are there to serve you their unique meals, not to cook to your specifications.
To top it off, this same customer threw the card machine and receipt at the server, yet she remained polite and professional throughout the ordeal. For those leaving negative reviews, I’d genuinely question their own behavior and expectations. This is New York—don’t expect anyone to wipe your face and spoon-feed you !

Quaint seafood restaurant with terrific food. The fish dishes are well-prepared with good flavors. The grilled octopus is a must as are the octopus tacos. Surprisingly good was the crab guacamole! The fish and chips were nice and flaky. They offer a nice wine list to compliment the food. The service is very good.
