Cute decor and efficient service. Unfortunately my tea was served at near room temperature twice, even after asking for it to be served hot. Sushi was incredibly disappointing and the ginger was flaccid, likely stale or left out and completely inedible.

Service is beautiful, they are super kind and patient. It was my first time here I had the lunch special and I loved everything!! Fresh and full of flavor. I'm grateful I came here, definitely coming back next time. Make sure to tip when you come!! They deserve it.

Their food makes ordinary ingredients taste extraordinary. The meals look impressive and taste fantastic. The staff focused on assisting me first and responded to my inquiries with genuine courtesy. Oishii Sushi Japanese Restaurant delivers on food and friendliness. I assure you this place is worth visiting - I'm planning my return.

I found this spot while doing a food crawl in Astoria. I don’t eat raw sushi, so I got the California roll — simple but really good. I also tried the sweet potato roll, which was decent. Overall, it’s a nice, clean place to grab some sushi, and everyone there was super friendly.

Very disappointed trying this for the first time. I advise not to order any salmon rolls. Tasted and smelled horrible the momiji roll to be exact tuna didn’t help either. Ginger was even bland
Was very fast for delivery

Just had one of the worst sushi experiences I’ve ever had at Oishii Sushi in Astoria. I ordered a spicy salmon roll, spicy tuna roll, salmon avocado roll, and a New York roll. None of the spicy rolls had any actual spice or even a hint of spicy mayo—it was just plain fish and rice. The salmon didn’t taste fresh and was extremely fishy and off putting, and the ginger was discolored and had an earthy tone like it had been sitting out too long and had gone bad. Even the wasabi was clearly not real wasabi, just that weird dyed paste.
The whole meal felt like a scam. I’ve had better sushi from random takeout spots. Honestly, I left feeling nauseous and ripped off. This place either needs a serious quality check or to shut down completely. Definitely not going back.

I just received an order through Uber Eats, and I’m extremely disappointed. The sashimi I received was absolutely horrible — easily the worst I’ve ever had. The fish was clearly not fresh, and several pieces had a strange, off taste that made me concerned for my health. I only managed to eat two pieces before throwing the rest away.
This is not just about taste — this feels like a potential food safety issue, and I believe it should be investigated immediately. I’m requesting a full refund and strongly recommend that this restaurant be reviewed for food safety compliance.

Ordered takeout. They said 15 minutes, it time ten. Rock shrimp and tempura were still crispy when I got home. Great place for takeout!

Just ordered food tonight had the chicken yaki udon and a tuna avocado roll with crunch snd scallion. I walk by often when taking my son to the playground, it’s no frills and hole in the wall. The prices were great $12.95 for chicken yaki udon and $6.50 for the roll. The sauce for the udon was so so good and the tuna was very fresh. I received the dish within 25 minutes. I would absolutely order again!

Dined in and unfortunately the service was poor- no greeting even after saying hello to the staff , this is a very small place and all the staff is right in the front, we did not feel welcome. The restaurant is not well kept and seems a bit dirty and messy, tables had food scraps from previous diners( there is only 4 tables in the restaurant and no rush hour@ the time) Ordered Shumai as appetizer and they were cold, sushi is bland and the ginger that was in sushi tray tasted old. Server never brought the drinks until he had to be reminded. The server made the sushi himself as well as the appetizers and served us the food and later the drinks with same gloves he made the food with !!!! No plates available, everything is served in to go containers- If you're ok with bland and average sushi this place is for you, I personally had better sushi from the local supermarket.
