The interior is on the plain side, but it is clean. We placed a to-go order on the kiosk. It seems that a lot of their business is to-go. We ordered the beef noodle soup and the zha jiang mian. The beef noodle soup was savory and tasty, but rather salty. We thought the zha jiang mian was a little bland and just okay. Our order also came with some small containers of peanuts and pickled vegetables, which was a nice surprise. Overall, the food was decent, but I wouldn’t come here often as each noodle dish came out to an average of $16.

Taiwanese food specialty restaurant.
Among the dishes we ordered, the soup of Taiwanese Beef Noodle Soup was thick and the cooked beef was very soft, giving it a texture similar to boiled pork. However, the noodles were overcooked, so I couldn't feel the chewy texture of the noodles. The soup was good, but the noodles didn't blend well, which was a bit disappointing.
Salt & Pepper Popcorn Chicken has a slightly short seasoning that seems to go well with alcohol.
Fried Savory Turnip Cake looks similar to fried tofu, but it tastes much softer and crispier. Soy sauce is provided to eat with it.
Minced Pirk Black Bean Fried Over Rice is a fusion dish that mixes Thai and Korean food, served with cucumber, bean sprouts, rice, and a slightly sweet black bean sauce. It doesn't have a thick sauce like Korean Jjajangmyeon, but it has a similar taste.
Orders can be placed at the kiosk.

I wanted to try Malatang so I found this place with good reviews. We ordered medium Fish malatang and beef malatang. I should have ordered mild. It was very spicy. The fish malatang had a lot of fish, fish. Tofu, and spam. The broccoli was a bit out of place but fine. Loved the glass noodles. They were chewy and bouncy. I don't have anything to compare it to because this was the first time having malatang. I liked it. I thought it was very good. It did get a little messy because of spillage from the takeout containers. Each malatang was in individual plastic bags then placed in a paper shopping bag. I had to transfer it to a regular bowl because it was too messy to eat from the takeout containers. I will go back when I want more Malatang.

Food tastes good but didn’t like the default 15% tip selection and the no tip selection is hidden behind the Custom option. I ordered via the kiosk and picked up my own food, and you want 15%…

Did not go to Oodles. There are three other establishments in the same location. Go to Bolt Gym, not Oodles.

Clean and bright noodle cafe stand located a strip mall with parking. The seatings are comfortable and clean . I have been here for so many times. They recently added more choices. The fries taro cake is so truly a replica of Taiwanese street food
Beef noodle soup is always one of the best in Queens. The feef is tender. Thin noodle is dented. Broth is full of aroma.
Anyone devotes to enjoy Taiwanese food lists this cafe as a must go. If you are lucky enough to live nearby, try to enjoy all the dishes in the menu.

If you’re looking for authentic Taiwanese home cooked food, this spot is it! Definitely will be coming back !
I tried their beef noodles soup, and it was absolutely delicious!!! The tenderness of the beef and the soup base was just perfect. Taro cake was crispy outside soft inside. Salt pepper chicken was on point.

I’ve been to chicken lovers dozens of times and never really noticed this place. One day I was craving Lu Rou Fan and searched for a Taiwanese restaurant online. I was really surprised with the taste and the portion size here. I’m excited to try the rest of their menu.

I recently visited Ooodles Noodle House and found the experience to be quite mediocre. The menu for the day included Steamed pork buns, Salt and pepper chicken, Tomato braised beef noodle soup, Everything malatang with rice, Lemon aiyu jelly, and Taiwanese milk tea.

The Steamed pork buns were a disappointment with the buns not being fresh and turning out to be quite dry. The only redeeming quality was the braised pork belly which was perfectly cooked. The mix of sweet sugar and peanut along with the cilantro and pickled mustard leaves tried to salvage the dish, but the dryness of the buns was hard to overlook.

Next was the Salt and pepper chicken, which turned out to be the star of the meal. The chicken was tender, well-marinated, and had a crispy texture. The accompanying sour cabbage worked wonderfully with the chicken and the spicy Taiwanese msg seasoning added an extra layer of flavor. This was by far the best thing we ordered.

The Tomato braised beef noodle soup was average at best. While the broth was deliciously peppery and the noodles were chewy, the beef was slightly dry which took away from the overall taste. The tangy tomato flavor did add to the broth, but the dish lacked a wow factor.

The Everything malatang with rice was an assortment of random things thrown together in a malatang broth. The flavors felt disjointed, and having it with rice felt a bit weird. It was still a decent dish, but certainly not something I would recommend.

On a lighter note, the Lemon aiyu jelly was refreshing, lightly sweet with lemon jelly chunks, and a strong citrus flavor. It was a nice palate cleanser. The Taiwanese milk tea was unique but hard to describe, tasting something like a cross between chai and Hong Kong milk tea.

The ambiance was not great, with the constant bass-heavy gym music from next door being quite annoying. The interior was plain and did not add much to the dining experience. There were also free sour cabbage and salted peanuts, which were wonderfully savory and had a good roasted salty flavor.

In conclusion, the food at Ooodles Noodle House was mediocre at best. Considering it as Taiwanese fast food, for the price, there are definitely better places out there for Taiwanese cuisine. If you plan on visiting, I would suggest taking the food to-go and enjoy it in a more comfortable setting.
