The only food worth returning to Flushing for singularly. Otherwise c town in Manhattan covers it. It’s the best of steam and crispy and soupy dumplings.

Stopped by Pan Bao 66 for a quick bite and the pork fried buns did not disappoint — crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor. Super casual pick-up-and-go spot, but absolutely worth a stop while in Flushing!

very delicious pan fried soup dumpling and very cheap! it’s located inside New World mall eatery. The actual name of the restaurant is different so it was hard to find. The eatery cafeteria was very crowded ahd no AC blowing.

There's a whole bunch of spots to eat in New World Mall, but this is one of our favorite stalls to get pan-fried pork buns! They're Shanghainese sheng jian baos, filled with hot soup. They’re juicy, flavorful, filling, and freshly made in front of you. I love seeing that huge pan of rotating buns as well. While the top is soft and fluffy, the bottom is crispy, crunchy, and toasted. You can enjoy the soupy pork bun with vinegar, chili oil, or just by itself. Eat these very carefully, like a soup dumpling!

10-15minutes wait if weekends. Weekdays no wait. Very delicious bun. And very good spices oil. It will be excellent if they can wear masks and provide good customer service.

I was there few week ago,The bao was ok, but the experience at the counter was quite unpleasant. The older lady at the cashier who seemed to be the boss, had a cold, unfriendly attitude. I stood in front of her for 2~3 minutes while she looked at me, then looked away, saying absolutely nothing. No greetings just ignoring .I approached her to place my order, and she continued ignoring me as if I wasn’t even there. Another staff member stepped in to take over the order processed , while she still silently took my money without even eye contact.
I asked the staff if maybe they were just too busy, and that’s why she (the boss) acted so cold or arrogant?!. Or maybe business is doing so well now that basic manners become optional.
If you are the boss , remember ,without customers you are absolutely nothing !

They only had 4 left and I ordered it. I was too hungry to notice that the menu options were only 6 for 10$ and 8 for 12$. So they made some random price up for me that was 4 for 8$ and she said to me “you bought fewer so it has to be more expensive” where in fact there was only 4 left. Terrible service and lack of honesty here. Taste is very mediocre as well.

I try to use the old form 100 dollar bill to get food which I got it from TD Bank 2 mins ago, they denied to accept it, because “it’s not newest bill, looks old”. That’s crazy. Don’t go to that place, no respect to the customers, buns are smallest I ever seen. GREASY FOOD!
They didn’t check if the bill is ok or not, they just looked at the bill said “The owner says they don’t accept old 100 dollar bill!” But they don’t have any sign telling customers they don’t accept old bill! What a “special confidence” the owner have with real money! They don’t respect customer at all! They were assuming that bill isn’t real! Now look at the owner replied, I’m happy save the money for another business BUT NOT THIS SPECIAL ONE!

Unlike the others, I found the skin part to be too thick (born/raised in Shanghai, I know my food so idk why others are saying they prefer it to be thick), but I haven’t tried any other 生煎 places in nyc, so this will suffice. Juicy and generous
fillings. 6 for $10 or $14 with a soup. Waited 15 min ish.

Absolutely love the 生煎/pan bao. Will definitely come back for it if i live in the area. Not so much about the curry beef soup, maybe will try other soup next time.
Really delicious 💖
