Peppa's Jerk Chicken (Queens)

Beware!!!! Good luck with this place. I recently went in to purchase a meal that I always get. From the moment I went in, I knew that I should never have stopped there. I asked the young lady at the counter for a Large Fried Chicken meal with Mac and Plantains please. I also asked her to add a little sweet chili sauce on the chicken. She proceeded to tell me that mac, sweet chili sauce and plantains would be an EXTRA cost. No problem, however I always purchase this same meal and have never had to pay extra for plantains and sweet chili sauce. She then proceeded to tell me “IT DEPENDS ON WHO SERVES YOU” as to why things may be “extra”. No worries, I kindly exited the store and kept my $28 in my pocket.

This restaurant the staff not friendly, no manners , the food needs to be much better it seems like they change the chief , when it was first open the food was good now , the chicken dry , you can’t eat it , the stew and curry chicken no taste , everything lack flavor , please get your recipe back on track , customer can start again enjoying your food , also better customer service, best regards a concern customer !

Ordered the Escovitch Fish! With the understanding that it is made to order will the fish looked like it was dried in sun for a week no vinegar sauce at all and a ton of rice with pepper balls!! Plus the onions had a off putting taste. This is a neighborhood restaurant and I will never order from them again!

my experience again was terrible. on Friday night at about 10:50 pm placed order for jerk chicken and rice they told me I will have to wait 20mi minutes. I said OK. two person order perk chicken after me and got served before me. it's the third tome this has happened, I got so angry I told if I could be refunded back whic they did. something needs to be done and it was not even busy. good food service terrible.

I visited this restaurant in person last year after hearing great recommendations. The service was quick, but the customer service was disappointing—unprofessional and borderline disrespectful. The food at that time was mediocre, but I decided to give it another chance through delivery.

The delivery experience was impressive: fast arrival, excellent packaging, generous portions, food was hot, and the flavor was initially on point. However, several items still fell short. The rice and peas were bland and undercooked, the cabbage tasted raw instead of steamed, and the chicken was dry with no gravy, which is unexpected for stew chicken.

I truly hope the cooking techniques improve because the meal lacked cohesion and overall quality. Please be mindful of these details moving forward, as they make a big difference in the dining experience.

Place an order on Uber Eats for the stewed chicken with rice and peas, as well as the jerk chicken with rice and peas, cabbage, and plantain. The Food was nasty, the chicken had a stale flavor. For the jerk chicken, I requested barbecue sauce and I got no sauce. The chicken was dry. Had to fight Uber Eats to get my money back for the stew chicken I just put my own sauce on the dry jerk chicken and ate the dry chicken because I didn’t wanna put my money to waste. But I couldn't eat that stewed chicken tasted weird.

The service here is excellent. The server served us with a smile and was very friendly he informed us of the menu and detailed the presentation of the dishes. They have a huge variety of food. I got the jerk chicken plate it came with grilled jerk chicken with a spicy bbq sauce, cabbage , rice and peas and plantain I also got a jerk chicken and macaroni and cheese plate. The plates were about $20 a piece. The portions were decent. The food is good. The jerk chicken was nice and tender just wished it had a little more flavor to it. The sauce absolutely carried the chicken without it would have been bland. This place is still definitely worth a try though

Ordered from uber eats today and the food was quite delicious. All along a few bad reviews had deterred me but after today I can say with confidence the food is delicious.

Food doesn't match menu. You order brown stew and the sender fry fish no gravy. You ask for gravy they send dry chicken. Almost choked on the dry fry fish. When you ask them for the missing gravy they said take it up with Uber they have nothing to do with it. Order at your own RISK.

The male worker is always drinking behind the counter openly. The women in there always have an attitude. Workers smoking and drinking on the job just a bad look and unwelcoming overall.

The worst experience 17.42 for a little bowl of chicken and rice. I canceled the order this was on September 28 and I still haven’t received my money back on my card straight-up robbery

I love Jamaican food and read great reviews about the Peppa's in Brooklyn. I was in the neighborhood and decided to try the food in queens.
1. Food was delicious and cooked perfectly.
I ordered the salmon sandwich and it was perfectly seasoned and grilled, the sauce was amazing, I added pineapple and spicy jerk sauces. But, half of the bread was soggy and fell apart.
2. The service is okay, no one said hello or smiled, just straight faces looking upset. I continued to be polite, ordered and left.

Great food but the service could be better.

The store on Rockaway blvd, Queens ny. The workers has an attitude, they are very unfriendly. They act like you are not there
