Pizza was blah just like the service, garlic knots tasted like bland rubber bread. Will not be returning! How is this place even open for business?

I ordered yesterday at 8 pm. A regular pie. When the pizza came it barely had sauce on it or cheese. Basically just bread at that point. My whole family was disappointed because we usually love philomenas. The crust on the pizza was almost half the slice as well. So disappointed. Waste of 27$

Had several square slices and was surprised by the nice crunch they had! The Jersey Shore slice had a really great combination of toppings on it, and their pepperoni are smaller than ones I've had elsewhere and cup really nicely!

Philomena’s makes fantastic pizza - it’s a family favorite. All their flavors are delicious! And they have vegan options available too. The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because of the elusive potato slice situation. It’s hands down one of my favorites, but the availability feels like a mystery. Such a unique and delicious slice! I’ll check most weekends, and if I come in early they say it’ll be ready later, but when I return it’s either sold out or never got made I’m guessing
I’ve tried calling to get a sense of timing, but there’s not really a clear answer. One day my husband stopped in and was so excited to see a whole new tray of potato slices. He wanted to get 4 slices (2 for each of us), he was told there was a 2-slice limit per customer, just on the potato slices, which was a bit of a bummer - but a different day he tried to order 4 again and there was no mention of a limit so idk
It would be amazing if there was a way to know when to swing by for the best chance at snagging a slice (or four 😁). The pizza itself is always worth the visit - just hoping for a little more potato slice predictability. Still one of favorite go to spots! Best pizza in Sunnyside hands down, if not in all of Queens!

Whenever I come to NYC, I try different pizza places. Philomena’s was DELICIOUS. The Jersey Shore slice is amazing! Owner was incredibly nice, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Finally got to try this hidden gem in sunnyside. Intended to try a regular slice but the specialty pizzas looked so good. Had a eggplant slice which was perfect and a square with soppressata and mikes hot honey. Cannot wait to go back and try more varieties. Staff were very welcoming and cool. Highly recommend. Whenever I’m sunnyside this will for sure be a go to.

Ok this place is AWESOME - their wonderful dough is better browned and it adds depth to the crust, wish I knew this secret……. The service is BEYOND great and the pizza is amazing. VERY NICE people. Amazing pizza. This is the only pizza I have had where I NEVER pull out garlic or pepper to add to it!!. They do not need the basil and extra oil. Let the pizza speak for itself BECAUSE ITS THAT GOOD!! But I get that each chef has their thing and I’m not complaining. The white pizza is amazing and I’m always so sad when they’re out!!!. It’s very well balanced and not filled with globs of ricotta - the whole thing is a work of pizza art. I can’t wait to try their broccoli rabe!! I have no idea what seasonings they use but it’s so well balanced. This is the place everyone in the family asks for whenever pizza is mentioned!! We can’t stop going there! There are never leftovers! I’d take out of town guests here. Grew up on that block and I wish they were there then!!!! The whole team is fantastic.
