Severed me the wrong pho. Cannot expect too much from their waiter. Overall somewhere between 2 and 3

Best pho around Elmhurst/ woodside/ Jackson heights area. They're the oldest and have the best broth and noodles. Very fast service.

Cold days call for something steaming hot, and this place nails it. The pho broth is fragrant and piping hot with tender beef, the fresh spring rolls with peanut sauce hit the spot, Tasty food and quick service overall.

One small note for the front staff: once we’re seated, please give us a minute to look through the menu instead of hovering to take the order we might have ordered even more with a little time 🙂

Still, we’ll be back because the food is genuinely great.

I love Vietnamese Pho and was disappointed with the Pho here, so little broth and too many noodles. The crispy egg rolls and summer rolls with peanut sauce were yummy. We had a corner table and weren't rushed which made for a pleasant dining experience. The complimentart jasmine tea was perfect with our meal and I appreciated receiving two cups of the comforting tea. Authentic Vietnamese food but the Pho was a bit disappointing.

Food still the way I remembered. Service still the same as 1990s. Prices no longer the $5-6 for a regular pho. But I came here for the memories of pho. No fancy service. You still pay in cash. They either speak in Cantonese or Vietnamese. I will never say anything bad about this place. It has been through a generation. My son is now in his twenties. And I came to eat here when I was in my twenties. I even brought my son here when he was a toddler. He grew up eating pho. Good memories.

The food is really good here. It reminds me a lot of the restaurants I grew up eating at in Houston.
There isn’t a lot of good Viet food here in NY, but this place is solid.

The people who are serving are not friendly. Some are rude. The cashier is the rudest person I’ve ever met here in US. If you don’t want to lose your appetite and cool, NEVER ever ever come to this restaurant. I was so excited at first to come to this place, but after my rude encounter with the cashier and some staff, I will never ever come to this place. I will also tell my friends and people I know not to come. There’s another restaurant, about half block away , named Pho Best Vietnamese Cuisine. The foods are great and people are very nice and clean. I would surely recommend that .

This is a no frills, serious, pho lover's spot! It's more of a cafeteria/eatery than a restaurant so don't expect a vibey atmosphere or 5 star service. The servers expect your order pronto. The pho comes out within minutes. You eat, you pay, you go! Cash only. You get served free hot tea before your meal which is nice. Affordable, fresh, and delicious every time.

How have I never reviewed Pho Bang? I Come here easily once a week. 25 large w/ iced coffee.
In ‘05 When I first moved from DC I was looking for a ‘pho 75’ equivalent and it took About 3 months till I found my way out to elmhurst. A blind pick from Google maps, finding this place kicked off my interest in eating my way thru elmhurst & queens in general. The neighborhood is a gem and filled with friendly people
And amazing food. Pho bang is no exception.

Pho bang Feels like the pho cafes I grew up with; I can say it feels “real” at least from what I have experienced that means in America: everyone is a little gruff & it’s a little grimy.. imho just as it should be.
As you’d expect from an OG, service is quick and priced appropriately; definitely Not a $25/bowl bougie vegan stock pho spot you’d find in bushwick. This is the real deal, broth served glistening with rainbow beef tallow and the pork cha-Gio so hot you could easily Melt the skin off your roof of your mouth (don’t forget to wait at least 5 min). They always forget my water & you pay at the counter. In my opinion these are traits you look for in a quality pho spot / Vietnamese restaurant (Being serious here). Don’t fear the communal tables during busy times; everyone is too busy to pay you any mind just sit eat and enjoy.

I have been coming here almost 20 years & it’s the only restaurant left standing I discovered the first year I moved here from DC. That should tell you something right there - its been up I think since 1989? aside from the mysterious few years it was closed but not out of business (weird) I really don’t even bother with other pho spots, unless someone tells me I need to try it …and then usually they’re wrong…

The folks here know me & my wife; and our order. It’s taken some time but every so often I get a smile from the friendly but stern mom/dad/son combo who are always at the helm. We like the staff and find it adds to the charm of the place.
food is always amazing and sometimes even better somehow earlier in the week, like mon/tues. old school east coast Vietnamese restaurant vibe hard complete with rocking jams . elmhurst location is the best- with Mott street maybe 8/10 when you’re stuck in the city … sometimes I wonder if they are owned by same family?

Even so, I’ve never eaten anything bad off either menu. Keep in mind you’re not going to either location because of aesthetics; you’re going because you’re hungry and these guys are not messing around when it comes to making the best pho on the east coast.

One warning:
The parking lot can be really tricky these days since they re painted it - for some reason it’s been chaos ever since . Now I opt for street parking on bway / neighborhood most days and ignore the headache.

Parking: Shared with grocery store parking lot is frequently chaotic & full. Try broadway and surrounding streets first for paid ions.
