Money hungry?? Maybe you might have noticed the area being upscaled? Did you ever consider the effect of large rent increases that each lease brings in an upscaled area, especially on a prime corner? So what would YOU have done differently, dealing with the challenges of rising rents, meeting payroll, turning a profit, etc. I will miss Jack and the guys and wish them all buona fortuna. Will also miss their great gyro platter I came in from south Brooklyn for. T from Brooklyn.
Best sausage onions bbq slice we’ve ever had!
Way overpriced. As far as the quality of the food goes, the pizza is okay. They obviously feel bigger is better and all the portions in this place are humongous. For some things, maybe too humongous. Like the chicken rolls for example. Way too much chicken inside than it needs to be. The balance of the roll is completely off. But the biggest takeaway is definitely the price. By far the most expensive pizzeria in Astoria. 2 slices, fries and coke will run you 18 dollars. I can’t get over how much the fries are in this place. 6.25 for a potato. Their logic is, If expenses goes up, let’s keep raising the prices. And they were raising the prices before this crazy inflation hit. But I have some logic of my own which is: if it doesn’t work as a business anymore, get rid of it!!
This is by far the worst food I have ever eaten. I tried this establishment whilst nursing a violent Sunday hangover. You would think any greasy nourishment would have tasted like a gift from God. Au contraire mes amis. I would have rather opted for the personal pizza from Subway. I would pay $100 for a slice from any other establishment than get a free pie from this dump. If I was on my death bed, I would request Pizza Palace so the taste of the food took me out before the injection.
Crust was soft with a crunch. The sauce is a bit sweet... I actually TASTE the sauce! ? Chill atmosphere and plenty of space.
Something about the marinara sauce I don't like. Had the lasagna (no bueno) had a slice ( no bueno) but the staff is really nice there
Pizza Palace feels like a relic of the 80s in the best way possible, from the decor inside to the glow of it outside on a cold winter evening. They seem to have a nice selection of slices and a ton of other stuff too. The slices are huge for the price.
Wowed by this place! After cooling our heels for 45 minutes in a nearby restaurant, my friend and I finally walked out without even receiving our appetizer. We had lost all that time from a gorgeous sunny day so we decided to just grab a quick slice at Pizza Palace. I the veggie pizza. It was completely loaded with toppings broccoli, zucchini and sundried tomatoes. So savory! I've never had veggie pizza that good before. I tried the spanikopita which was also outstanding. Highly recommend this old-school place.
Nice place it might be one of the oldest restaurant still in business.I have been going there since 1978.
This is pizza done right. Brooklyn is known for having the best pizza—true, yes, except for this place. They don’t offer anything other than a great slice of pizza and a clean table to eat it at. Anything else is from some place that copies their name so he can charge the same prices from three blocks over. Idk how that’s not a crime. The real crime is everybody arguing Brooklyn’s better right now and haven’t tried this place first. Though that little spot over on 7th under the park by the hospital that makes those little pizzas for like $4 back in the day. Those were bomb. But no, on a good day, these guys win the trophy.

Greek pizza. Slices so big they cut them in half.
The staff is friendly. The pizza from here for some reason doesn't agree with my stomach all the time. I eat elsewhere some pizza and I'm fine. Idk if it's just me or something in their pizza.
A couple of colleagues and I order a pizza pie for lunch today. Unfortunately, this extremely OVERPRICED pizza pie was so thick and not tasty. The dough was so thick it was like a cake that my colleagues could not even finish eating their slices. So disappointing, when you're pregnant and starving. Pizza should not be so thick. Yuck.
We ordered the beef guron chicken gyro fries and the garlic bread. All were tasty. Good size portions
This was literally the worst pizza I ever had. I expect a lot out of NY Pizza and I was utterly disappointed. If you dont want to taste the disappointed that I did please keep those feet moving
