Pye Boat Noodle in Astoria is a hidden gem that deserves all the praise it gets, and then some. I ordered the Kway Teow Kake Shrimp, and it was phenomenal. The noodles were perfectly cooked, the sauce had just the right balance of spice and depth, and the shrimp were fresh, plump, and full of flavor. Every bite was rich, comforting, and beautifully layered with that authentic Thai taste that’s so hard to find.
The staff were warm and attentive, the space has a cozy, vibrant energy, and the food came out quickly, but clearly with care.

Came here with a group of 5 people and the food and service were very good.
We had some appetizers that were normal in their taste but my main plate was very good: beef pad thai.
The service was superb and the atmosphere excellent . I had a Thai beer which was a good accompaniment.
I will definitely comeback here again 👍.

This was my first time visiting this place and I loved the food,I believe you get what you pay for, sized portion and flavor speaking. This place had an amazing fried rice and the other two dishes we ordered with my friend were delightful too! I also ordered the gin gin mule, which was good too!

Horrible service! Waited so long for someone to pay attention to us. Food is MID at best. Way better Thai options in and around Astoria. Random note: this did not go into my rating but their papaya salad has pork rinds in it, so if you blindly order papaya or mango salads at Thai restaurants don’t do it here if you are a vegetarian, pescatarian or someone who doesn’t eat pork. Very unfortunate lesson I learned.

One of my favorite restaurants in the city. Their food is just the best. I’ve been coming here for ten years and the food and service has always remained perfect.

The food here was great! But they took a long time to come out (15-20m for appetizers and >30m for entree) which was unexpected from a casual eatery like this, where there’s no a/c and no one comes to refill your water. I liked the food but I don’t think I can wait that long for quick bites.

I placed an order for pickup and I tried to split the payment between cash and my card. They told me I couldn’t because their CC minimum is $15—which is ILLEGAL in NYC. The minimum can only be $10. I tried to reason with the staff, but then a very rude man who appeared to be the manager interrupted and refused to follow the law. I told him this is really my only way to pay, and that he could either throw the food away or follow the law and take my $10 CC payment. He said, “I don’t care, I’ll throw it away man.” So I went to Hero Thai across the street. It’s really good!
