The first time I went there I didn’t like the food but that may be because I got the fried selections. I totally recommend if you want food that’s cooked for you but you pick the selections you want, season it yourself and have it steamed. If you want it even better then take it home and cook it yourself. The place is clean but ONE of staff had a BAD attitude. Poor customer service from him. The ladies who steam and/or serve fried seafood are VERY kind. I would recommend. Some of the seafood is overpriced but it’s by the pound. Buy what you can afford. It’s a convenient spot. It’s near LIRR, E & J trains, Q40,Q6,Q44 sbs, Q60, Q9, Q20A & B and many other buses. Safe because police is always in the area or posted at the train station. No area to dine in. They take Cash, Credit/Debit & EBT.

I was referred by a friend to shop here for fresh seafood. I didn’t see the live crabs in the tank so I bought the stone crab that were already de-shelled. I picked the I thought were perfect and a bag of mussels. Once home, the mussels went into some salt water so they could release any sand within them. I cleaned and cooked the stone crab. The mussels never opened ?only two or three was releasing bubbles, which means they were alive and all the others were dead. I threw them all in the garbage. The crabs once finished, were crumbling. The meat was not edible. I realized that when I was in the store, the workers was laughing. Not paying any attention, they knew the seafood was bad but was selling it anyway. Good thing it was only $29 but will not be back.

Today I went to rainbow fish market and brought jumbo wild shrimp and witting fish I didn’t smell it when I open the bag to make sure everything was there but twenty minutes I get home and open it all the way the rotting smell of the shrimp and fish was overwhelmed. My home smell so horrible, open your bad the bag the put the fish or shrimp in because it keeps the smell in until you get home.

They seem to have average prices and a large selection of seafood. There is another fish market directly next door. There doesn't seem to be much competitive pricing. I buy fish closer to me, so when I come here, it's usually for fried seafood. They also make steamed, which I haven't had. The neighboring market doesn't cook fish. Again, the prices seem average. The food has a heavier breading (maybe cornmeal?) than I like, but it stays crunchy until I get it home. They have fish sandwiches, fried shrimp, crab sticks, scallops, and combo platters. The flavor of the food comes from the seasoning and sauces you put on after it's cooked. They have the usual dry seasonings like Old Bay & Lemon Pepper. And the regular sauces, hot & tartar, ketchup, & lemon juice. The food works in a pinch, but I rarely think about it unless I'm passing by.

Their fried fish sandwiches are absolutely amazing. For 7 bucks you get three big pieces of fish and you're in and out within less than five minutes. Great portion of food and taste.

Went in the store to get Wild Shrimp and Wild Salmon one the worker said the Salmon was farmed the manager told me the Salmon was wild. When it was all said and done the Salmon was Framed Raised. Be very careful in this store, with misleading info. The manager then said he didn't think i would want it because the wild Salmon was too expensive? BE CAREFUL PEOPLE!!! The receipt is for the shrimp.
