Ramen is not what you would expect, all the utensils are singular-use from the bowl to the utensils and no water is provided. Perfect if you’re desperate for food, but there’s other options that are definitely better around the neighborhood.

A positive is the restaurant atmosphere is decent.

Dined in during my lunch break, was a bit tight with time. Didn’t realize they charged 25% gratuity. (Ramen was $15.50 and the bill came up to almost $20.). They don’t serve water either. Never experienced this before.

Ramen jin is a quaint little ramen shop close to Queens college and the fresh meadows shopping mall.

The selections are listed on a blackboard with prices so it's easy to order. I've had most of everything in the store and have even made some creations with the owner. Chicken curry for one, add the chicken karage with their veggie curry and you can't go wrong perfect brunch dish.

The appetizers such as the takoyaki and chicken karage are my favorite

The ramen is where they excel, you have the option of regular or spicy on the tonkatsu and miso ramen. Unlimited toppings in my opinion as long as you are ok with the additional charge.. I always opt for a second egg and extra woodear mushrooms.. the ajitsuki tamago (ramen eggs) they make are amazing. The broth on the ramen is flavorful on its own but adding the spicyness takes it to another level.

The dessert options they have are limited but for good reason.

The matcha waffle pictured is enough on its own.

The mochi platter with the added bonus that the owner accommodated my strawberry allergy with the removal of the strawberry mochi was cool and very much appreciated.

The drinks they have on hand are a selection of classic Japanese soft drinks such as ramune! Who can't love ramune!
Also Japanese green tea and your normal drinks such as coke and Sprite.

Ramen jin is generous in its portions and the ambiance and customer service are awesome.
Just look at the Disney Lego castle on display and naruto wall art.

Definitely recommend!

The Ramen is a bit salty. Seems like the did extra on the soy sauce.
The place is small, which is okay. Accommodating.
But, the weird part about this place... I went by myself, just to try. I ordered one small bowl of ramen ($15), which I thought was a bit high for the place. When the bill came, they included the tip already. And because they added the tip, it got taxed.
I didnt mind because it was about $2. But, the principle. why include it in the bill for one order? Are they that desperate? They could have gotten more if they just let it be.
