In my 40 years of life.. I’ve never experienced anything like this and this is the first time I’ve ever left a review like this.
I visited the restaurant after 8 PM, definitely not a busy time. Even after sitting down and none of the staff members bothered to bring a menu…they were too busy chatting. But after finally getting a menu, no one came to take our order so I had to call out to someone near the counter saying I wanted to order..and he said…Someone will come help you… so my wife and I waited again. Despite making eye contact with staff multiple times, no one approached us until I finally raised my hand. When the waitress finally came, we greeted her with a hello~ but she didn’t say a word. I really don’t want to think this way, but beyond just bad service, it made me wonder if this was racial discrimination.
I’ve lived in this neighborhood for over 25 years and run a deli and bagel shop for over 15 years, so I know how tough the food business is. But the service I received yesterday was beyond awful and it was unacceptable.
I’m going to tell everyone I know about the discriminatory and upsetting service I experienced.
If the restaurant owner reads this, I urge him to check and see what your waiters and waitresses were doing while a customer was sitting and waiting. Isn’t it basic etiquette to treat customers with respect? or am I asking too much?
I visited this location for the first time, and the experience was extremely disappointing. The cashier told us we’d get menus once we were seated, but even after 10 minutes, no one brought us anything. They just stared at us without saying a word, so I had to ask for the menu myself.
One of the young female staff members scanned us from head to toe, and when I asked if someone could take our order, she exchanged glances with a male staff member and giggled — clearly making fun of us. It felt like blatant racial discrimination. She finally came over without even saying hello, stood there with one leg slouched and just stared at us with an attitude that screamed, “So what do you want?”
Regardless of how young she is, this is a job in customer service. Isn’t treating customers with basic respect a minimum requirement? Her rude, dismissive behavior made the whole place feel not even worth talking about.
This place may be known as a “good spot,” but maybe start by training your staff — especially the young white girl with a ponytail. She shouldn’t be working in hospitality. Completely unacceptable behavior, and honestly, she should be let go. Worst service ever, and clearly discriminatory.
Best pizzeria in this area.
Friendly staff, great pizza!
Food is very good but a bit pricey. One regular Slice and 20 oz. Diet Coke $7.93 is a bit much.
I've been going to this spot for about a year and some change now (about to make two years). I must state that their pizza is better than Carlos bakery pizza (we went to the original spot in Hoboken as a matter of fact).
they are always friendly and the atmosphere is beautiful.
Service was slow and appalling. All for the pizza to be garbage. I can name off a handful of better pizza spots in the area. This place sucks!
Just ordered 2 Veal parm heros. Not enough sauce plus almost double the price from Maspeth Place too.
Lori is the only nice employee here! Best waitress!
Rosa Pizza never disappoint. Great pizza, great staff.

Good pizza best around
Lots of options but the regular slice is my favorite
Clean, well organized, welcoming place. Too bad the construction project outside completely overshadows the entrance. Took me long time to find.
Eggplant parm pizza and the Buffalo chicken slices are the best.
Rosa’s is a solid spot for a slice in Bay Terrace Shopping Center. They’ve got a wide variety to choose from. I tried the regular slice and garlic knots—both were delicious. The pizza is generous in size with a nice crispy crust, though the sauce was a bit too sweet for my taste.
