The chicken sekuwa was extremely dry and rubbery, definitely overcooked and probably reheated from the day before, it was almost inedible.

The fried rice was ok, not as much flavor as I was expecting but had a lot of stuff in it.

The palak paneer was good, and we loved the chapati. We were sad they said they didn't have naan when we went, so we couldn't try that.

The chicken momos were pretty good.

The ras malai dessert was served hot, which I've never had before. I wasn't a fan, but the worst part was that it tasted like it had started to go bad, it was a bit sour. Pretty sure that was old too.

The masala chai was pretty good, but I actually thought the portion was way too big.

The service was ok, we were the only ones in the restaurant but felt that the staff was not attentive, they only refilled water once and we kept having to look for them to get their attention.

My family and I stopped at Royal Byanjan Palace & Bar for brunch on a whim yesterday and were DELIGHTED by the amazing Nepali meal we had. We were dismayed by being the only guests in there, and even more distraught when they were empty as we walked by that evening as well. I know they are on the newer side, so I just had to share here. I highly recommend a visit; you won’t be disappointed!! I wish I took photos: the momos were great, and I particularly enjoyed trying the Tingmo and Wai Wai Sadeko. I can’t seem to tag them, but they are at 8530 37th Ave.

Sat down for lunch with my wife on a really quiet Sunday and the food was spectacular. Vegetable samosas were humungous. We each had the beef and goat sekuwa, respectively. Never before had we tried Nepalese food, but the taste was delicious and the rice-like carb it comes with had a unique texture. A very enjoyable experience!

The food is over price than other Nepali restaurants. They also charge extra credit card fee without letting the customers know.

I got the veg samay baji and it was SO good. Like the kind of meal I still think about regularly. Also loved that getting the veg option didn’t compromise flavor at all. Highly recommend!
