Sometimes its really good, sometimes really badAnd you can tell that sometimes the rice is leftovers from 2-3 days old. Consistency issue.

Awesome guy and awesome food. More than enough food for your money. I usually get the mixed shawarma and chicken over rice

Ordered a mixed gyro. The food was delicious. This place is seriously underrated. Definitely give it a shot over other popular spots.

This is my regular halal cart in the neighborhood. I have literally been going to this place for almost 20 years, legit since the very beginning when this was their first cart and it was located across the blvd in front of Marshalls. Since then they have expanded to 71st and also have a location on Northern Blvd and 155 street. At least those are all the locations I know.So food wise it's tasty, rice is good, lamb is good and chicken is good. The problem that I've come across is over the last 2 years, the portions have become really inconsistent. It really depends on who is manning the cart but more times than not you will get a ridiculously small portion, in my case I would need 2 to be full, and no I'm not a big guy. The only one person that is a constant is the boss (always claims he's not the boss), tall guy with glasses, but he's been there for well 20 years so either he's the boss or they have a really good health plan. Anyways, still one of my favorite spots but it's become a bit of a hassle when I have to look to see if it's one of the guy's that I know doesn't gift little tiny half portions.

I was there today to order lamb salad. Here I got it. It was delicious and tasty. Price $8.

A quick bite no frills meal. I got a lamb over rice for $8. It was alright. Nothing to rave about.

I asked for extra onions which he insisted he put but as I opened it there wasn't any onions at all, also the soda wasn't cold.Food wasn't bad but I'm not going back because of this.

I was served by the tall quiet guy around 1230pm today - he's really nice.Ordered a combo plate and a gyro for my husband and I - $16 total.Really good - lots of meat and didn't cheap out on toppings.Would come back next time.

Food is delicious. Some bad reviews indicate food may be too spicy - it's all a matter of verbalizing your preference. If you don't want it to be too spicy, then say so! Lines are a bit long at times? But definitely worth the wait! Place/truck seems clean at all times, and the vendor is very professional. Would most certainly recommend this place in a heart beat!

Dry and mushy chicken. Shah’s is the best.
