As someone who has been in Hong Kong 🇭🇰 and walked through this little islands, experiencing and exploring the food, I love this small Hong Kong 🇭🇰 street food restaurant, the Slippery Eggs Over
Rice With Beef 肉溶告伙 was delicious, fluffy, warm, tender, little spicy ( I would add spicy 🌶️) full of flavors and the rice was perfect. It is great deal for 15$ and the portion is generous, the staff were super nice and the food is fresh and worth the train to China town in Flishing. Must try ♥️.

Unfortunately I became very sick after eating slippery eggs over white rice with shrimp from this establishment. I definitely either have food poisoning and hoping it is not Salmonella from bad eggs. Non stop vomiting and very painful stomach cramps. It’s been days and I can not eat anything. Either eggs were undercooked or not stored properly. Please be very careful and do not eat here. Very disappointing and really disturbing.

Good Authentic HK style food. Cute bear themed drinks, classic HK desserts fast and cheap. Lots of variety to choose from. Great place to hang with friends.

(+) pricing is mostly fair
(+) service is fast
(+) waiter is friendly
(+) tastes like home
(-) music is too loud
(-) cleanliness is quite questionable (look at my water glass lol)
note: if you’re watching your sugar intake— don’t order the tomato pasta, because it’s VERY sugary
most people order to go. this was my first time dining in, but my experiences with delivery from this place have always been positive (quality is consistent)
I feel like the menu is a little small and could be expanded to include some fried rice/noodle options.

Cha chaan tang food with causeway bay prices with food quality far worse than anything I’ve tasted from any street food stall in HK or Guangzhou. Ordered the bbq pork and fish balls and lemon tea. Bill was about $30 including tip and the fish balls were gross tasting covered in mustard like sauce, and the bbq pork was hard and tough like pork jerky.
It’s very hipster, IG friendly but the food is awful and the hot sauce package has no sauce, just dried chilis. That’s how cheap they are despite charging 3x what the meal would cost in HK.

I was disappointed with my experience here. They wouldn’t even serve tap water, which felt unwelcoming. On top of that, they automatically added a 20% tip to the bill without asking — this made me feel very uncomfortable, especially since tipping should be my choice based on service. The whole experience left me feeling taken advantage of rather than valued as a customer.

We ordered the Two People Set, which is a great way to explore the range of Hong Kong café classics with a Malaysian twist. For mains, the slippery eggs over rice with Malaysia-style curry chicken chop was a comforting marriage of two culinary traditions. Slippery eggs, a cha chaan teng signature, are cooked quickly over high heat until soft and custardy, draping over fluffy rice. The Malaysian-style curry brought richer, spicier notes than the milder Hong Kong curry, with coconut milk lending creaminess and spices like turmeric, cumin, and coriander giving warmth and depth. The chicken chop, pounded thin, breaded, and fried, soaked up the sauce while staying crispy at the edges and juicy inside the kind of East-meets-West fusion that became iconic in Hong Kong cafés in the 1950s.
The sliced beef rice noodle chicken soup was lighter but equally nostalgic. Silky rice noodles floated in a clear, savory chicken broth, the kind you’d expect from a skilled street-side noodle vendor in Hong Kong. The beef slices were tender and delicately marinated, adding flavor without overpowering the broth.
For our appetizer, we chose curry fish balls a Hong Kong street snack legend since the 1950s. Springy and bouncy, they absorbed the sweet-and-savory Hong Kong-style curry sauce, with just enough spice to warm you without numbing the palate.
The drinks were just as much a part of the experience. The jasmine tea mix coffee was unexpectedly smooth, with floral top notes from the tea softening the roasty bitterness of the coffee. The cold Hong Kong milk tea, made in the traditional “silk stocking” method, had a rich, velvety texture and the perfect balance of tannin and creaminess from evaporated milk.
We finished with golden French toast, another cha chaan teng classic. Thick slices of bread were dipped in egg, fried until crisp and golden outside, and fluffy within, then served with butter and syrup. More indulgent than Western French toast, it’s a bite of nostalgia with every forkful.
Every plate feels like it comes with history, making the meal as much about the culture as the taste.

Worst dining experience of my life. Service is awful. Waited over an hour to be sat & served our food on a TUESDAY afternoon. Had to flag our server multiple times, took 30 mins just to receive water. Food was cold or over cooked when we finally received it.

We came for the adorable bear ice cube drinks! We ordered the popular lemon tea and the hot ovaltine varieties and both were so tasty! They were $8.99 each, so a little pricey, but such a cute little photo op. It was fun to crunch on the little bear too! We also ordered their fried shu mai which were delicious as well!

We ordered the two-person set meal for $49.99 and it was amazing — generous portions, tasty entrees like the Slippery Egg over Rice with Shrimp and their signature HK Style Chicken Wings. The set also comes with drinks, dessert, and sides — super worth it!
Tried their new Zao Po Vinegar Soup too — so flavorful and unique! Spicy, tangy, sweet and super refreshing, packed with seafood and veggies.
Highly recommend this spot for families and groups — great deal and true Hong Kong café vibes!

The cafe was very nice. The wait wasn’t long at all. The have a good option to choose from to get some lunch or dinner as well. The drink was fresh i had strawberry milk. I was expecting it to be a little sweet but its straight strawberries and milk if you want something fresh and refreshing.

I stopped at this restaurant to get a quick bite. When I arrived I had to park a few blocks away. I walked into the shopping mall and went to the food court and found the restaurant. It was a small cozy place. I ordered with a nice young man! I ordered:
Little Bear Lemon Tea
Sihai Fish Ball with Curry Sauce
Beef Pasta with Tomato Sauce
Malaysia Style Curry sliced beef over rice
Slippery eggs over rice
HK Style French Toast
The tea was really good! I also loved the beef and pasta! It was a good experience all in all!
