I almost want to keep secret how good this place is. I first got hooked to the esthetic which is beautiful but they make killer burgers.

Now their specialty are sliders which are mini burgers but if you're like me and just want to grab your favorite with fries, they've added that as option too.

The smokehouse burger is hands down my favorite as they somehow make it taste like it was made on a wood fired grill. Great flavor and very juicy.

The fries are also slept on like crazy, I don't know where they got their seasoning but it's as addictive as McDonald's in its own way. Very crispy too never soggy and generous portions.

The beer on self served tap with chilled mugs is on point and I gotta give it props. Make the time to try it if you haven't, it beats bareburger for sure except in not having cocktails.

I wanted this place to be great. It’s ok at best. The team working in here is exceptional. The customer service is a 10/10. The decor is also amazing. They really exemplify the spirit of the food through the space they’ve built—from colorful walls, eccentric pieces throughout, to the lighting. The place looks amazing. They had a ton of great flavor options—which I enjoyed! The fish sandwich had a nice wasabi flavor that wasn’t overpowering. The burger sauce was also pretty good if you like things on the peppery side. However, I had high hopes for the food at the price point ($5 a slider is on the HIGH end for sliders). The sliders are super small. You need roughly 4-5 to feel satiated. The bun that they’re served on are EXTREMELY dry. I love the idea of the brioche bun but it could be executed a lot better. Maybe steaming them slightly? Or changing the bun out completely for something like a potato roll. The fries were also disappointing. They were under-seasoned, and very soggy. It’s almost like they steamed themselves after they were pulled out of the fryer. This place has a lot of potential. A few tweaks here and there and they could be the place to go for sliders or burgers in general.

I don't typically like sliders, but the ones here are excellent. On top of that they have all kinds of other food and the only self-serve beer tap I've ever seen in a burger place. Haven't come across anywhere quite like this around the city.

Came here to put another notch on the many food reviews I've done and also to partake on the food they have here. Normally Smashburgers are my thing so coming to a joint that serves sliders is out of my norm but the trip here was time well spent.

I came here on a Friday afternoon and I was kinda surprised by how vacant the place is, because it's relatively large to seat about 30 customers. Doesn't matter, easier service for me and the lady at the register was on point and helpful.

I ordered the classic, smokehouse and chicken sliders with a small Mac n' cheese and a chocolate shake totalling up to $27. Pretty hefty price for seemingly small food but don't let the portion size fool you, what I had filled me up and my stomach was empty before my brunch here. The sliders were well prepared and delicious, as small as they are they don't feel small. The Mac and Cheese hit so good and the shake was ultimately satisfying on a 80 degree day. Another good spot in Astoria checked on my listing and I'll revisit this place soon.

SLD Burger has truly become my go-to spot in NYC I can’t get enough! Their mini burgers are hands-down the best in the city: juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked every single time. Whether I’m grabbing a quick bite or hanging out for a while, this place never disappoints.

The beer selection is amazing, always cold and refreshing, with great options to pair with the burgers. But what really makes SLD special is the staff they’re incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always make you feel like part of the family.

If you’re in NYC and craving great food in a chill, feel-good atmosphere, do yourself a favor and check out SLD Burger.

We stopped by last Saturday night (5/24/25) and ordered burgers and truffle fries. My friend’s burger was great, but mine came out completely raw—even though I asked for it well done. It looked like it was on the grill long enough to get some color on the outside, but the inside was basically untouched.

I showed it to the guys at the register—they looked at it, apologized right away, and brought it back to the kitchen to show the cooks. They got me a replacement pretty quickly, and that one was cooked properly and actually tasted good.

Still, biting into raw ground beef was not a fun surprise, so I’m on the fence about coming back. That said, the staff was super nice about it, and the truffle fries were delicious—we both really liked those.

Everything was drowning in sauce - fries and burger. Onion rings were not drained after frying and you got a tablespoon of grease in every bite.

My friend took me to this place because it's one of his favorites. They have an assortment of slider style burgers which I particularly didn't like but what I loved was their milk shakes. They have amazing flavors and custom options. They even have dairy free for lactose intolerant people.
The Burgers were my issue. The taste was either non-existent or one flavor over powered everything else.
1. I had the smokehouse burger which is a regular burger with bacon added and BBQ sauce which was either too light or wasn't in there at all because I didn't taste anything smokey about it.

2. The second was Hangover Blu which is a Chicken cutlet with blue cheese cream sauce, egg, tomato and maple lettuce coleslaw. The Blue cheese dressing was so strong I couldn't taste any other ingredient. I didn't think the egg was necessary on this one and individually the ingredients weren't seasoned enough

3. The last one is a fried chicken slider. I just remember a piece of fried chicken with peanut sauce. It kind of reminded me. If fried chicken and waffles but again the peanut sauce didn't taste right with it to me and the piece of chicken I had was seemed old like it was sitting out for hours and the texture was really rubbery.

The box of onion rings was a decent amount for $5 at the time. No complaints on that.

The guys behind the counter are nice and the service was pretty good.

If I were to come back it would be specifically for the signature milkshakes.
