I had a bad experience in this restaurant recently. I saw the cashier who doesn’t speak English that well clean the tables and touch the garbage with his hands. I asked him to change the gloves and wash his hands before he touches my food and he said that he washed his hands, which I saw that he didn’t. The cashier was lying saying that he washed his hands. Then what was mind boggling he said a racial comment towards me. The cashier was racist and I’m not eating from this place anymore. I asked him to repeat himself and he didn’t want to. This cashier should be fired immediately, I believe he is Turkish.This is real sad, I don’t recommend this restaurant to nobody!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Part of my rating is just a celebration that they even *have* buffalo sauce, but also the chicken and fries were both the good crispy kind. 5 tender combo meal, $13, really not a bad price. I thought the buffalo sauce wasn’t like the best ever, but it also was fine and I was glad to have it. Default for a 5 piece should prob be two sauces. Thats all! I’ll def be back.

I tried Smokey Chick for the first time and was honestly really impressed. The chicken pieces were huge, fried perfectly, and tasted fresh — with actual flavor in the batter. I was pleasantly surprised, especially compared to Pelicana, which I’ve found pretty bland in comparison.
It’s a tiny, hole-in-the-wall spot, but the people running it were professional, friendly, and very efficient. The customer service was genuinely great.
I also tried the fries, and they were better than most — a larger portion and crispier than what I usually get at Pelicana. Prices felt very reasonable and fair for the quality and portion sizes.
They also offer fried fish and sandwiches, which I haven’t tried yet but definitely plan to. Overall, a great first experience and I’d absolutely recommend this place. The burgers are okay. They used to be good before but lately, their food tastes like it’s been made earlier and put to sell for later. The fries taste like they were fried and then reheated. And the white sauce given was spoiled. I had to throw it away. And today, even the burger tasted like it wasn’t made fresh or maybe the chicken inside wasn’t made fresh. I’m disappointed because this place started out very well but it’s going downhill lately. The atmosphere is decent and spacious. Seating arrangement is decent.

I saw this place on Google maps, saw the pictures and thought. Oh this one of those 12 dollar premium type of halal food. I traveled on foot 20 min today, just to come to this place so I can eat a normal food. But I was utterly disappointed. I was really looking forward to trying this place, but I was disappointed with the portion for $12.51. The amount of rice was extremely small compared to what I usually get from halal food carts that are $8-$9(which are also cheaper). It felt like the meal was thrown together without much care. Little bit of this, and ah whatever, here type of. Taste was okay, but for the price, I expected a more generous and balanced portion. Even the halal food carts, that are $8 or $10, they give out a good amount of rice and overall portion. I am very unsatisfied as a first time customer... Posting a photo so you can see what I mean, if you compare the photos they uploaded and see mine. It is so much less. I hope I was polite and if possible I can get my refund.

I used to love ordering from this place until they started the ridiculous practice of not allowing you to order for pickup if your order is over $30. I’ve never heard of a single fast food place in NYC which such an asinine policy. I’m unsure if new owners took over but they should really revise that ridiculous policy. Not only that, I offered to take items out of the order, effectively bringing it under the $30 cost and they could not comprehend that I would want to do that and STILL WOULD’T TAKE MY ORDER. Never again. AWFUL SERVICE.

Good Chicken Not Salty! I tried a few pieces of chicken, Some Tenders, Mac & cheese and Coleslaw. Everything was decent not like the other overly salty chicken places. I look forward to trying thier chicken sandwiches, Gyro & Burgers! Nice Spot Thanks for the quick service!
