Came on a weekend and was sat down immediately. Liked that the service was really fast. Got the suan cai and fish rice noodle, and it was delicious. The noodles were so flavorful and really hit the spot for a sour noodle. Also shared the popcorn chicken with two others, and those were done well as well. Definitely a great place for Chinese food.

It's delicious, but can you please cut the loofah in the middle? I can't bite it every time.

As a half-Hunanese, I am offended by the products of this store. First of all, it’s the noodles. It doesn’t matter if it’s not fresh rice noodles. You can’t ask for too much, but this noodles is not even cooked. I usually like noodles that are hard and chewy, but this bowl of noodles is no longer hard. It was still in a raw state when it was served, and it was barely cooked until the soup was warm. Secondly, the soup was not very fresh, and my mouth felt dry after eating it, but even so, the loofah still didn’t have any umami flavor. It was obviously not pre-processed and it was just boiled and put in the bowl. The unique earthy smell of loofah was revealed, and it was mixed with other things in the bowl. Completely separated. If you don’t know how to make loofah, you don’t have to put it on the menu. Don’t try to make it taste like Hunan and make diners who have never tried it mistakenly think that loofah is so unpalatable.

I also ordered a cucumber with perilla. It had a strong mustard smell for no reason, but I couldn’t find the perilla after searching for a long time. Finally, I found out that it was just a little bit of powder on top, with a few pieces of cucumber on it. I couldn’t eat it without tasting it carefully. I was completely blown away. The mustard flavor overwhelms it, and those who don’t know better think that perilla tastes like mustard. The shiso cucumber written in English on the menu is probably the mustard added to blend with shiso, but shiso and the purple perilla used in Hunan are two different things. The rest of the seasoning is only sour, and the salt has not penetrated into the cucumber. Anyone with a little experience in home cooking knows that you can't make cold cucumbers like this. Selling it for 9 yuan really made me laugh.

The braised noodles ordered by a friend with some pickled beans will cost extra. Please go to Flushing and eat Hunan noodles. It’s cheap and big, and you can add any side dishes.

This store seems to be very new? There was a smell of decoration that hadn't dissipated when I walked in. After I sat down, I found that the items ordered by the table next door were left almost untouched. To be honest, if I hadn't been with friends because of these two points, I would have left on the spot.

Cute noodle spot in LIC that we did takeout from as we arrived towards closing hours. Our order was ready in 5 minutes.

The meats were braised thoroughly and we liked the flavors (it’s a little salty but that’s the style of this type of casual meal). Pork trotter portion was quite generous, pork rib a little less so. Eggs were done perfectly with a slightly runny center!

Great for an easy dinner if you live nearby. Also really friendly cashier and nice but small restaurant space if you feel like eating in.

the signature rice noodles were very delicious. although this is pricey for a bowl of rice noodles i think it is worth it, the ingredients taste premium. even the chili oil tastes homemade. i do wish there was music playing for better ambiance

Reasonably priced Asian food in LIC, we enjoyed:
- century eggs eggplant
- fried rice noodles
- stinky tofu (acquired taste, allegedly)

But popcorn chicken was too dry, the signature noodles were mediocre.

Good quick eats place, wouldn’t go out of our way to come though.

After a couple failed attempts we finally got around to try this neighborhood noodle bar.
Bright and clean inside but really tiny place with just a few small tables.
Service was good and food came out pretty quick. From the small menu we tried the Stinky Tofu which was pretty good, crispy skin and tasty. I ordered the Signature Lu Fen and my hubby had the Beef Brisket Rice Noodle. Both Hunan flavor noodles were not bad and I like the texture of the noodle. Although you can choose the level of spiciness but I still found the mild quite spicy.

I recently went for the rice noodles and was thoroughly impressed. The dishes, including lufen, stinky tofu, and spicy crawfish, were very authentic and flavorful, truly reminiscent of my hometown. The restaurant’s atmosphere was welcoming, and the service was excellent. Highly recommend for anyone craving genuine and delicious Hunan cuisine.

Secret spot for me and my girlfriend. Loved the pig trotter rice noodle.
Although tbh I don’t like how the waitress was pushing us to order more.
But in general pretty good and convenient. At least they know to separate noodles and soup when they do a delivery! Not like some other place.

Excellent noodles Hunan style. Signature is the beef noodle soup. Those that are adventurous can try the stinky tofu warning it’s very stinky. Otherwise they have a bit more friendly options for appetizer like soup dumplings, fried pumpkin pastry, steamed pork buns and popcorn chicken.
