I love their yuzu tea and their ube dessert. The matcha lava cake was good too.

I’ve known Spot for over 10 years, since their very first location on St. Marks. Over the years, they’ve expanded to more locations, including LIC and Flushing. Since the LIC location is close to where I live, I was genuinely excited when they opened in this area.

Their Green Tea Lava and Golden Toast have been amazing since day one and remain consistently great even now. Back then, the dessert was called Green Tea Lava Cake. It seems they later renamed it to Matcha Lava, likely to give it a more premium feel.

This time, I also tried one of their newer desserts an ube-based dish. It was okay and didn’t particularly stand out, but I do appreciate that they continue to update their menu seasonally and introduce new items.

Overall, it’s great to see the brand evolving while maintaining the quality of the classics that made it popular in the first place.

5 stars because the staff was so kind! The desserts were alright. We got the plant pot thing and the Ube-errie which was nothing mind blowing. A good spot for quick hangout or catch up with friends !

I ordered the cute plant dessert but the only thing nice about it was the presentation. It made me feel really ill. I only had one bite but still got charged the full price. Definitely wouldn't recommend going here at all.

My first time at this café. I walked in and bought a coffee and a muffin. They asked if it was to-go or if I’d be staying. I said I’d stay, so they seated me, gave me a menu, and then told me that according to their policy, I’m not allowed to drink my coffee and eat my muffin here unless I order something from the menu. Question!!! Why would you seat me and not tell me about this strict policy when I placed my order at the counter?!

Pretty busy on a Friday night but wasn’t too long of a wait. Service was fast and friendly and the desserts were bombbbb. We ordered the cookie camp, golden toast, and harvest. The cookie camp was our favorite, the warm cookie with cold ice cream is top tier combo!!!

I came here as my first time at a Spot with my girlfriend. We were in hopes for the aesthetic cute dessert we saw online. When we walked nobody came to greet us at the door and it wasn't even busy.
We went straight to the counter to look at the menu and not once did the server come up to us to ask if we were dining in or not, not even the cashier asked us if we were dining in or taking out while we were ordering. After checking out we were told to wait on the side, and thats when we realized they were making our order for to go. We got up and asked the server if we could have a seat. She set us near the front door while there were tables in back and she served everyone else water except us. When our order came out we got handed a takeout bag with our dessert in solo plastic sauce containers. We got the harvest and it came in a paper cup with no chiffon cake at all, it was just cream and soggy. We didn't pay $30 to eat premade dessert in to go cups.
SMH. My girlfriend has been to the Spot in Saint Place which is equally busy if not more and she had better experience over there. Truly a disappointing first time experience for me and also with my girlfriend. There was no type of hospitality. Just mediocre food and bad service. Not trained enough and established system. Will not be coming back, go to Saint Marks!!
