Their desserts are lovely. I think the staff could be more warming and welcoming to their guests. However, 5$ for a tea is a bare faced robbery. I thought it would be a special brewed tea but no, just hot pipping hot water poured over a tea bag. I at least expected fresh herbs steeped without the plastic tea bag for 5$… in all skip the tea, get the desserts and go.

@spotdessertbar has been always my fave dessert place when they opened first time many years ago. You can order single dessert or if you want to order varieties of it, they have Omakase deal for $79.95 (5 tapas dessert, 3 pastries and 1 pot of tea).

My top fave is Matcha Lava cake. The moment I cut into it, that warm, gooey pure chocolate started flowing. The outside is perfectly baked, soft with a slight crisp. Not overly sweet, just rich and so satisfying. Paired with a scoop of ny fave Matcha ice cream. Absolute perfection.

Also must order Harvest which is in the shape of plant pot (very creative !). It's layered soft cheesecake, milk tea with raspberry sorbet on the side.

We also ordered Hey Jasmine (jasmine panna cotta, pandan sago, raspberry sauce, jasmine ice cream) and Sweet Beanie (red bean mochi Mousse with black sesame ice cream). They are all so delicious and unique.

Peachy Summer is very refreshing with their shaved ice of white peach granita, passion fruit cremeux and coconut sauce.

The matcha lava cake was delicious—crispy on the outside with a hot chocolate filling, and it paired wonderfully with the matcha ice cream. The honeydew cream soda was also a nice treat, served with a scoop of ice cream on top. Most of the customers here seem to be younger crowd.

Never again. They refused to modify an order with a different flavor priced exactly the same due to an allergy. The Asian girl working there was like a zombie just repeating the same asinine phrase over and over. Then she took back the product and had the audacity or lack of intelligence to ask me for proof of cancelation. By not replacing a 5 dollar item they lost a $16 order. Real smart. All their negative reviews are well deserved.

Warning to non-pork eaters: most of the main menu has GELATIN and you can not eat inside if you do not order from the main menu (6 selections). We sat down at midnight when the restaurant was empty and were told we needed to leave unless we ordered items from that menu which we could not order from because of our dietary restrictions. We were planning to order FOUR other options from the rest of the menu but were still NOT ALLOWED to eat inside the resturant. Several of my friends are food NYC reviewers / bloggers on social media so we will be warning everyone to stay away from this place. Management needs to update this policy if they care about fostering an inclusive dining environment in the most inclusive city in the world.

I’ve been going to Spot for over 12 years across all their NYC locations. Was so excited to see the LIC location finally open over last few years!

The desserts are great, and consistent with their other locations. I appreciate the quality doesn’t suffer from expanding. All their desserts are good but standouts for us are:
- Milky Puff
- Harvest
- Golden Toast
- seasonal desserts - these are always amazing and delicious!

A few years ago they had a summer special, the Watermelon Dacquoise, and I am praying they bring it back!!! In my 12 years as an avid Spot Dessert Bar fan, easily their best menu item.

They do seasonal menus often and they keep it crafty and interesting. We follow their IG for updates.

Service is fast at this location. The desserts come out efficiently and nearly instantaneously. The only downside is that this location is always SO COLD. I’m shivering here whenever we go, even on hot summer days. They keep the AC running for sure.

If you’ve never had Spot, definitely give it a try. You won’t regret. If you’re a loyal fan, this location doesn’t disappoint.

They force you to BUY. A dessert, no matter what, to stay in the place. Even if you have bought three coffees. The waitress's service, ?‍♂️?‍♂️, TERRIBLE. They don't let you to know that for to dine in you need to buy a dessert and just told "it's in the menu" but they put it in very small letters. It ruins any good time, and they make you have a hard time.

Vegetarian options: Only one option it's not enough

Kid-friendliness: One of the waitresses was very rude and told us that if we didn't buy a dessert (when we had already ordered a coffee and tea) we had to leave. They don't tell us this beforehand and they expect you to read it in the very small letters on the menu. The worst thing is that the desserts are not good at all.

Overall, desserts were decent. Cookie Camp was by far my favorite, along with the Milky Puff. Harvest was the prettiest looking.

4-stars only because I've had better desserts. It is on the pricier end, but a good one time visit.

In one word: Treat. I enjoyed the presentation and the layers used. It was a treat to the eyes and taste buds alike. It's an exciting place for deserts, and someone with sweetooth must check out this place. I liked the harvest since the presentation was appealing and the cheesecake was really nice. If I were the chef, I would have made the pot edible since I could not cut through all the layers of cheesecake at one and not get the experience as the waiter was suggesting enthusiasically.
