My latest experience at this Starbucks left my very disappointed and turned me off of this location completely. I pulled up to the drive thru screen as was to told to drive forward. Confused, bc I hadn’t ordered yet and the car in front of me drove forward at least 30 seconds before I pulled in but I drove forward and followed instructions. As I got to the window I explain my confusion with the lady there and to my surprise she responded harshly and rude. She told me that what I experienced couldn’t have occurred and makes no sense. Even though the lack of acknowledgement and accountability rubbed me wrong, I agreed that it makes no sense since I did not get to order. So I asked if I could place my order at the window. All I wanted was a cake pop which requires no preparation and wouldn’t hold up the long line behind me. However this lady told me “no”. She expressed that I could not order at the window and I would have to drive back around to the screen. This left me extremely frustrated, not only bc of the miscommunication, but because I saw the headset on her person meaning she is the person who takes the drive through orders. With everything considered, I just left without ordering because I did not want to be late for work and the unprofessionalism from the staff member made me want to spend money elsewhere. I hope this establishment can recenter their culture around the companies mission statement (“inspire and nurture the human spirit – one person, one cup, and one neighborhood at a time”) because the lack of courtesy can damage.

The oddest experience in a Starbucks…

I wanted a mocha frappe as always. However, the employee denied to me. He said “because we are too loud.” What? What does at mean? I said. When I insisted he said the same thing “because we are too loud.”

He said that tomorrow will be available but not today.

Someone please explain me what just happens? I am confused…

Waiting on a friend for about 20-30 minutes, and was told by a lady (assuming manager) I can't occupy the lobby unless I'm ordering something (my friend was going to). Any starbucks and other coffee shops I've gone to never do this. If anything this would deter me from wanting to buy anything at all, and it did so I left. It was moderately busy, seemed welcoming, but I guess not.

5 Stars – Outstanding Customer Service!

I had a truly exceptional experience at the Starbucks on Beach Channel Drive, all thanks to a Supervisor named Antonio. My daughter and I came in shortly before closing, and I was having trouble with the app while trying to place an order. Instead of turning us away or brushing us off, Antonio went above and beyond—patiently trying multiple ways to help us troubleshoot the issue. When the app still wouldn’t cooperate, he generously offered us complimentary beverages so we wouldn’t leave empty-handed.

His kindness, professionalism, and genuine care for customer experience truly stood out. It’s rare to see that level of dedication these days, especially right before closing time. Antonio deserves recognition for embodying the spirit of excellent customer service. He made our evening, and I hope Starbucks knows what a gem they have in him!
