Maria is so kind and made us feel very welcome. I ordered the lentil stew and it was so delicious and it came with some amazing homemade garlic bread! She also gave us lamb stew to go.
I really recommend this place, from the calm atmosphere to the friendly service to the unforgettable food. We’ll be back Maria!!

My bf (soon to be husband!) just moved in with me and we needed a nice break from unpacking. I saw the great reviews for this place today and decided to stop in for some light bites.
Sunshine cafe lived up to the reviews and surpassed it. I like tuna but I’m not the hugest fan there is (and same goes with bread, I know I’m weird), but I finished every bite of the tuna sandwich and the bread (and I’m a person who gets my burgers lettuce wrapped, etc. bc I’m not a huge bread fan). That sandwich was so yummy, I scarfed it down! I also had lentil soup and fresh squeezed apple juice. The portions were very big for the cost and hit the spot on a cold day.
My bf had the ham and cheese on a croissant and said the croissant was so flaky and delicious. I honestly wanted to eat half of his sandwich too it looked so good 🤣
Last thing I want to mention is how sweet Maria is. She really makes you feel at home and you can tell she puts love and care into everything she makes. She’s the kind of person you want to see do well and will go out of your way to support because she is so loving and deserves the world! She will go out of the way to make sure you’re super happy with everything - she’s just awesome!
So glad I found this gem and that it is close to where I live! I will absolutely make this place part of my weekly rotation!

Sunshine cafe is down the block from my house. This weekend I stopped by twice but have been there before for a sandwich and juice. Maria is the sweetest, very attentive and puts in great care for her food and the quality of the ingredients in her dishes. The place is small and has a few tables for dining in. I love the green juice and had the tagine chicken on a recent visit. It was so flavorful and juicy! I had the pleasure of trying their fresh bread as a treat, my 2 year old kept requesting for more. I overheard the couple mention the lentil dish they serve is also wonderful. I'm not surprised. You can't go wrong there. It is such a great addition to the neighborhood!
