Save your money go to the place down the road at Usha Food or go to Harry’s sweets. They forgot my green sauce and didn’t even care about their mistake. I called back and they said they don’t have any green sauce and just hung up without apologizing for inconvenience. It’s a Sunday during lunch and they were busy at the time. Look I get it mistakes happen but at least own up to it. I even went back a second time to pick up my green sauce alone and they said they didn’t have it. I saw in the back fridge where they keep all ingredients, so they were plain lying. They were just too shameful to admit to lying over the phone lol. Terrible attitude from the staff and the owner/manager. Like dude I drove back here just giving me my sauce and we can forget about it. Definitely not coming back here again.

The most healthiest Indian food you would find in nyc. More healthier than home food. And alsmost half the price of other restaurants !!! Why they got medium rating makes no sense to me. Not to mention their buffet allows me to walk in and out with multiple dishes. Well Done

Authetic Indian sweets, delicious, mouth watering delicacies in NY Queens area. Reasonably priced with tons of vegetarian options. Limited seating and parking as well.

Broken up dhokla don’t waste your money. There quality of food and sweets has gotten worse
The attitude towards the customer service is absolutely disaster . Trusting over the charge is significantly a top notch missing . While placing an order they say something and when visiting at the place the hike of the sweets inflate . The guy working at the counter has a nostalgic behavior towards the customer doesn’t know a basic etiquette towards the customer yelling instead of accepting .
Hope this warns the future customer to stop wasting their money

I’m extremely disappointed with the customer service I received. I was charged significantly more than the usual price for a service I’ve used multiple times before. When I reached out to clarify the overcharge, the response was dismissive and unhelpful. Instead of acknowledging the mistake or explaining the price hike clearly, I was met with vague excuses and no resolution.
It’s frustrating and unacceptable to feel taken advantage of as a loyal customer. Transparency and consistency in pricing should be a basic standard, and unfortunately, this experience fell far short. I won’t be returning, and I’ll be warning others to be cautious when dealing with this business.

I recently visited Surya Store for the first time, hoping to try their Jalebi(dipped in sugar syrup). Unfortunately, it turned out to be a complete disaster. The Jalebi was excessively sweet—completely drenched in sugar syrup, making it unbearable to eat.
But what truly shocked me was the sheer lack of basic customer service. When I requested a sample of the Jalebi, the lady at the counter, with absolute disregard for hygiene or basic etiquette, tried to hand me the dripping, sticky Jalebi directly into my bare hands. Are we serious here? Who does that?
It's appalling that even the simplest concept of customer service—like providing a disposable plate or bowl—is missing. This is precisely the problem with some desi businesses: they believe running a store is just about selling products without any focus on customer experience or basic manners.
Save yourself the trouble and avoid this place unless they decide to learn how to treat customers with even a shred of respect.
