Rude service food poisoning
Their customer service was amazing! What was even better was their food. The amount of food for the price- super worth! They also gave so many side dishes, my tummy was happy the entire time!
Been here a few times, the first time being over a year ago. Arguably, my first time here was excellent: food was tasty, service was good and they took care of my small group at the time. Over the next few visits, however, the meats didn't taste as good (later learned they changed the sauce) and service wasn't that great either. I heard the management changed a few months back and came here with my family again (for mother's Day). The food was good, though how the meat gets cooked totally depends on the staff. Side dishes are on the traditional side but I found them to be tasty.
The service can be a bit slow, especially when they're busy and you do need to ask for things here and there instead of the staff being super proactive about taking care of you (like asking for water). Personally, as long as the food is tasty, lower levels of service don't bother me that much. My mom enjoys eating here so I'll come back for sure, probably on a less busy day too. I could see this place being a bit difficult for non-korean parties eating here though but the staff does speak some English so it's not like you can't get by.
This place is a must to go place. The food here is really good. And the workers are great.
I really recommend this place for BBQ dinner, good service good food atmosphere best Korean BBQ place
This place used to be a great place a year ago. I always brought my kids for lunch special right after school and dinners on the weekends. But under the new management, I don't believe we will ever go back again.
Let's see, we received no serving plates, nor refills of water until I asked. But worst of all, after I handed in one Benjamin to the owner/ manager by the counter for our lunch, she decided to chit chat on the phone and made me wait for more than 5 mins.
Don’t go here. Service is sht. Food is subpar. And there are so many better other restaurants within even just a couple blocks.
This is the worst restaurant I've ever been to - it's so shocking - and I still feel bad about it. My friend tipped 20 percent of the total bill in cash. However, the waitress said the tip was too little and asked for more. My friend was so shocked, but he was embarrassed to argue with her, so he gave her an extra $20. When I told another friend about this, he said that this restaurant is very famous - and that it's common for people to ask for more tips - I can't believe it. A 20 percent tip isn't even legal - the standards they use to determine that it's too little and the way they boldly ask for more are just astounding.
Are you kidding me? Initially the 11 dishes of Bonchon were impressive. However, after tasting the eggplant bonchon it was spoiled and had a bad aroma. I had to spit it out. Then came my husband’s Galbi which was boneless cuts of mystery meat. What kind of restaurant that SPECIALIZES in Galbi gives out so called Galbi without the bone??? Then my bulgogi beef came and looked like frozen slices of tasteless beef. The white rice was slightly off color too meaning it was from the day before. With the sourness from the spoiled eggplant still on my tongue, I lost my appetite. When I complained to the owner she asked us to pay for this meal and she’d give a discount for next time. Well we didn’t each much and there is no next time. We didn’t want to make a scene as it was Lunar New Year and full of customers so we just got up and left without paying. Owner didn’t follow but I would have made a big scene for all to hear if she did. Her worst comment was that she just took over as the new owner. If so, why run it further into the ground?
Went with a group of friends from Manhattan and the workers were super hospitable!! Very refreshing to feel loved and cared for while eating🥰

“Other than the food, I really don’t recommend the tongue undercut. I ordered it, and it felt like chewing on cowhide. What’s even more surprising is that when I couldn’t even eat a single bite, the waiter came over, tried a piece, and said, ‘It’s really bad.’ Then, when it was time to pay, they told me they couldn’t remove it from the bill because the owner wasn’t there. Did I ask for a discount? It’s not like I was complaining. If they had said nothing, I wouldn’t have been as upset, but it was honestly just ridiculous. As a customer, it was a really unpleasant experience.” I will never go back again!
Enjoy the meal, and the service is great 👍
I actually really liked eating here the food was good the galbi was juicy and tender that made it taste even better the service that grilled it for us was really nice the atmosphere was really good (except for the kids running around and screaming their heads off but it’s Christmas so I shouldn’t judge) i recommend this place for friends and family to have a good time
Came here with my family, the recipe is spot on!
I was extremely disappointed with my recent lunch takeout order. For $28.80, I expected a decent portion, but what I received was far from worth the price. The main dish was shockingly small, with just a few pieces, and the soup was barely more than a small cup. The portion size felt like a snack, not a meal. At this price point, I expected both quality and quantity, but this was a letdown on both fronts. Definitely not worth the money—won't be ordering from here again.
