Called in for a quote, went to pay the order. My cake was quoted for $299.41. Verified details with the young lady at the front. My order was for 7/1 @ 4pm. I walked in at 5:30pm tp pick up, Waited over 10 minutes to speak with someone. My order was nowhere to be found. A 2LB cake order with plenty of time could not be found. Register person fails to communicate what is going on. waited 30 minutes to get an explanation for what was going on. The person who took my order put the wrong date, 7/11 pick up. Even after they verified their error they offered me a 1/2 LB cake since they had no replacement for the current situation. Not an apology, not a proper solution. Not the first time this happens. I decided to go back to see if their customer service got better. Will not be coming back. Completely disappointed in their service.

I love this bakery. I needed a cake because my usual bakery cancelled me. Sweet Occasions were so professional. They were empathetic with my situation and took my order right away. My cake came out beautiful and delicious. Exactly what i wanted. Everyone was so friendly and professional. Thank you.

Placing my order over the phone was so easy, and when it came to picking it up this morning, I was floored at how lovely the ladies working at the shop were. They were so accommodating with my large order, design suggestions. and last minute requests. The tres leches is quite literally the best I have ever had in all 5 boroughs. I went out of my way to order it and pick it up myself for an event at my office in midtown Manhattan and would do so again, simply because of how much love and care is put into the cakes and service at sweet occasions.

My name is Andrés. It is with great disappointment that I write this review because my family has been a customer of this business for a long time. Most of the time everything had gone well but this February my mother-in-law and I ordered a half-pound cake for $89.00 because it had details. It was a gift for my girlfriend and when we tried it, the meringue was bitter like chicken gall, I'm not exaggerating. This of course ruined part of the celebration. The next day I called the bakery with the intention of informing them and nothing more. The person I spoke to in an unconscionable manner told me that this was impossible because the color of the topping was pink, he rejected my complaint, he accused me of lying, he told me - bring the cake, I told him - can I bring you the pieces that I threw in the trash? She said that we had to bring the entire cake, something impossible because it was cut and discarded. I noticed that she was completely closed to my claim. I asked to speak to the manager. She said she wasn't there but that she would call me the next day. She never called. She didn't show her face. She didn't care about the client because she had already been paid. I waited two days and I felt abused, how unethical, so I called again and asked to speak to the manager. He asked for my name and said: - It's you, the manager isn't here, I don't know when she'll come, but what you're saying is impossible. At that point I got so angry that I told her: - At first I was just trying to inform you and an apology, but now that I see how irresponsible it is, I want a refund. He shouted that he was never going to give me anything, how horrible ambition is, he lost a client of years for a few pesos. I told him I would file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and I just did that. I hope you read this and learn to value the clients who in the end are the ones who sustain the business. When you buy fried foods, be sure to ask if they are fresh because on two occasions we have bought refried quipes and pastries, hard as a stick and inedible.

Everything was gorgeous 😍 i purchased this cake for my birthday and my friend’s birthday. It was absolutely amazing!!! It was perfect. I chose dulce de leche flavor my favorite. This is the second time i purchase from sweet occasions. The first time was 2 years ago for my son’s 1st birthday. I love how their cake is very soft. And overall it tastes great!! I will continue to purchase from this place.

We go here for most of our birthday cakes! I show a picture and we discuss what is feasible and each time, they are able to make it look quite like what I show them. Very reasonable prices and great taste too. Here is a picture of what was made a few days ago for our kid’s birthday.

Service was absolutely terrible in this establishment I watch them skip customers of color in favor of spanish individuals then on more than one occasion when asked why they did this they stated they didn’t notice or the person was standing in the wrong place . This place is but so big it made absolutely no sense this place will not get my business anymore
