Sweet Spot Sporting Lounge & Restaurant

It was my second visit since moving to astoria in the beginning of november. My buddy and I were at the bar. Everything was going well. Then this woman next to me, who was clearly very drunk or on something, started talking to us. I didnt think anything of it but then she started getting handsy and belligerent. We werent trying to be rude to her. We put up with her for a little while. Then she started eating my buddys mozzarella sticks. My friend told her she can have the rest of them since he was full and she clearly needed to sober up. Anyway, it wasnt an awful experience by any means. We laughed it off mostly.
Harry the owner came by and asked us if she was bothering us. We told him no because we didnt want to get her in trouble but we did say she was definitely very drunk. From what I saw, she only had 1 glass of wine, which was confirmed by Harry. So it wasnt their fault she was that drunk. While not necessary, he graciously comped our mozzarella sticks and we got a couple rounds taken care of as well. He then had her sent home in a respectful manner. They made sure she got in an uber safely.
I already had told him I plan on being a regular before he took care of us. His hospitality and care for his customers to be as comfortable as possible only cemented the fact that I will be a regular.

One of my favorite spots to watch all the games and get really great service and food! I came in on a Sunday afternoon and the waitress Stacey really maybe it such a memorable experience. Would come again!

A true sports bar. True to the old school sports bar where the wings and food are awesome and the beers flow!

Harry, is the best!! His staff is wonderful.
Everyone always with a smile and actually glad to see you visit their establishment.
I can’t even count how many TV’s there are playing everything, all sports all the time.
