Great food as always and you get it in under 10 minutes. It’s a classic local’s spot for Fuzhounese food. This is more so a quick grab and eat spot, so service and atmosphere isn’t up there

Came here to try the recommended peanut sauce noodles and wonton soup combo that’s popular in Fuzhou China. My Chinese friends recommended this classic combo during my visit to NY. The combo was delicious. A lot of Chinese people here so that was a good sign. Service was rude and the lineup to order was a free for all. Place is dirty and the tables are not cleaned. I would set the expectations low for everything except the food.

Even though I have not tried my food yet …the service at this hole in the wall was horrible.
Maybe because I am African American, but after I paid for my food the lady at the counter asks me two minutes later “did you pay me?” As I didn’t hand her and 10 dollar bill and she placed two dollars on the counter. Will not be returning here…I will continue to get my dumplings from 295 grand street.

The aunt who took orders at the front desk had a very bad attitude! Very bad! Very bad! We ordered the wrong meal and asked her to change it. She said we ordered it wrong and couldn't change the spoon after it was put in the bowl. We insisted that we ordered correctly and asked to watch the surveillance video. She refused and told us to shut up.

My boyfriend and I came back twice during our 4 day New York stay! We saw a Tiktok talking about the great prices + 2 of our favorite dishes and HAD to come! 2 Peanut Butter Noodles, 2 Fuzhou Wonton Soups, 1 Order Dumplings and 2 Drinks only costed around $17! They were all super delicious! I recommend adding vinegar to your Fuzhou Wontons! (only if you like sour soups 😭) We’d love to come back in the future! :)

Generous amount for the beef tripe rice noodle soup but the soup was bland. I’ve had better elsewhere. The dumplings look pretty good - maybe will return to try next time.

At Tan Tou Wang in Flushing, I ate confetti out of the leek dumplings twice in a row. I don’t know if the boss has changed. Today, the meat in Yan Wan felt sour, and which meat was really different from the previous one? The difference is too big. If you don’t believe it, you can bring your own water. There are disposable cups on the counter. Take it apart and wash the dumplings. I ate two today and threw them all away (leeks). I won’t say this. It’s better. I will never go to McDonald's again. It's not easy for everyone living in the United States to want to eat snacks from their hometown, but they really have to have a conscience.

This spot is a very fast-paced, street food style restaurant that serves FJ comfort food in a cafeteria-style seating restaurant. The dishes in this no-frills eatery are all very affordable and delicious. If you're eating at Tantou King's Fuzhou Fish Ball, you'll be eating amongst all the uncles and aunties. It's definitely a spot for locals. I used to visit with my mom when Tantou King used to be located in the basement level where the new Golden Mall now is. Their new location is much bigger and more comfortable to sit in. The lady working at the front desk can get impatient and rude though, so make sure to order quick, pay quick, and eat quick if you don't want to get yelled at. We saw a couple customers getting yelled at during our most recent visit here, but can't deny the food here hits the spot.

Fuzhounese food staples we ordered:
$3 ban mian 拌面/Fujianese peanut noodles
$3 bian rou 扁肉/Fujianese wonton soup
$3 fish ball soup (6 pieces)
$3 pork ball soup

I have been here before many years ago. I think it’s a neighborhood staple. I never tried FJ food before until coming here. Seems to be a lot of loyal customers who come here often.

$3 peanut noodles used to be $2 but I still love it. Yeah it’s simple and flavors could be easily made at home, and the soup is kinda bland, but I think it’s more about the local community and quick eats in between work or just grabbing a quick bite. Very flushing.

The person standing in front seems to be the boss lady. The service is relatively poor. Meals are average.
