One of the best, most original music venues in NYC and beyond. Cultural gift, allowing people who have may never get a chance to visit Venezuala, Peru, or Columbia, to get a taste of the regional folk and jazz from amazing local musicians.
This place is a neighborhood gem. It was great to be able to hear music on a Sunday night and not have to pay an arm and a leg. The music was excellent. We heard college students playing along with their music professors. The only issue was the seating upstairs is very narrow platform benches. Since it was crowded, we found it to be warm and difficult to sit with our legs in a comfortable position. I suggest sitting on the first floor and listening while eating may be the better...
Went for a couple a drinks which were good. Had a great variety to choose from! The entire ambiance was great, eye catching and all very comfortable for talking and enjoying together with friends.
