We have been to Thai Rock numerous times with friends or by ourselves. In the evening the bar scene is sometimes more important than having a good meal, although we managed to eat well enough with the noise. During the pandemic we had limited choices of simplified dishes. But now, going for a tranquil lunch on the large deck overlooking Jamaica Bay and the Cross Bay Bridge, with sun or shade depending on your preference, we had top quality Thai. Our green papaya salad (we had it hot, but medium and mild were options) had a nice mixture with green beans, cherry tomatoes, and peanuts. Deep fried cod with peppers in a sweetish sauce was excellent. The star was marinated beef (chicken, shrimp, pork were other options) with string beans, ginger, and chopped nuts. Sharing all this made a balanced meal. Others had fancy looking cocktails. The service was friendly and attentive. We plan to go back soon.

Great late night food stop, the food cart staff are very nice. I tried it for the first time and it was overall pretty yummy. The thai iced tea was the perfect level of sweetness for me. The spring rolls were fresh and crispy. I do wish the chicken massaman was a bit spicier and had stronger flavor. I definitely plan on getting other dishes in the future, I especially want to try the steak ones since thats their specialty.
LOVE THIS CART! The chef is always friendly. The food is delicious, cheap and fast!More people need to know about this cart.
