The bund is my favorite local go to spot! It is a hidden gem in astoria and if you are ever craving something outside typical fast food chinese this shanghai style restaurant is a must try spot to satisfy those cravings. The soup dumplings are to die for but their szechuan chicken hits the ball out the court. if i could give this place 12 stars out of 10 i would! i placed a delivery order for the wonton soup, wood ear mushroom salad, and beef and pepper noodle soup. everything came fresh and delicious, and way earlier than expected. the noodles had a homemade texture that i really enjoyed.

New menu, new staff. Must be new chefs in the back as the food tasted different. Pork chop over rice was no longer served with a marinated egg and pickles, but with egg fried rice. The pork chop was no longer satiating. Last year it came out freshly prepped and juicy with a lot of flavor. Now it's too lean and bland, like it was never seasoned. I gave the food here 5 stars last year and they set the bar really high. Now it's at 3 stars.
