I ordered the chicken over rice and I was surprised to find out this can be messed up. While the flavor of the chicken and rice were good, it was doused in white sauce, making it hard to enjoy the food itself. Also, classic chicken over rice comes with a small amount of salad and some pita bread but this was literally just a layer of rice, chicken, and a heaping amount of white sauce. It would’ve been much more enjoyable with some salad at least.
The lamb over rice combo I ordered was missing the Pitha bread, which was disappointing. However, the food was of good , with tender and soft meat that was slightly outweighed by the quantity of rice.
Grabbed some food on a lunch break. To be honest, I tried to go to wingys down the street, but they weren't taking orders at 930pm. I'm glad they didn't. I had the jerk chicken over rice. It was awesome. Wish more halal restaurants offered jerk chicken.
