The restaurant looks nothing like it does online. The bathroom was dirty and smelled awful, the music was incredibly loud, the food was not great, and although I booked for the “experience” there was none. Finally, there was an extra $1400 charge on my bill that they eventually removed once I pointed it out. I would not recommend.

Ok so The Newsroom is an amazing place. The atmosphere was everything. Perfect lighting. Dim lights and the art work make the place standout. I highly recommend this place. The food was very very tasteful. From the presentation to how quickly it arrived amazed me. The staff were so professional and pleasant. The drinks for happy hour were affordable and well prepared. I can’t say anything bad about this place.

The Newsroom is now on my must-do list when I come to New York. The food and drinks were delicious. I had the Mango Blossom, shrimp guacamole, and branzino. If you get the branzino the sauce takes it to another level. The atmosphere is set for a good time. Do not miss the rooftop because the view is exquisite.

I felt for a Saturday night it was a tad bit quiet. I thought there would be a show or performance. But the music was great food was good how ever lamb chops were over cooked in my opinion, my party also agreed. Perfect place for an intimate birthday or celebration.

The ambience, the service and food were exceptional. We had an amazing time. The only issue I would say is the pizza was over priced. It was a personal size (very small ) with a price tag of 26 bucks. In addition we were looking forward to the aerialist performance but we were told she hasn't performed for over a month. We will definitely be back.

The security guard at this speakeasy was extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. My friends and I wanted to enter, and he told us we couldn’t go through the main entrance that the line was outside. We understood, went outside, and paid to get in.
Once inside, after a few minutes we went to the bathroom. The same security guard directed us there, but when we finished and tried to return a few minutes later, he refused to let us back in. He claimed we hadn’t paid and assumed we had gotten in without following the rules, even though we explained that we had entered properly and paid. He insisted that if it were true, our friends would need to come out and get us.
Despite our repeated explanations, he continued to profile us and refused us re-entry. This experience left us feeling targeted and disrespected.
