Went here on a whim with my friend to brunch. The menu looked very promising. We were seated pretty quickly. It took us a long 20+ minutes to get any service. We had contemplated getting up and walking out, until the server finally made it to us (we should have left). We ordered an appetizer and few other items—one of them being the Fried Chicken Sandwich. The food arrived about 35 minutes after, all together though which is weird since appetizers are served before the main entrees. When I got my sandwich I started eating it and realized they had my order wrong. They gave me a grilled chicken club type sandwich, which wasn’t good since the chicken was way overcooked (basically chicken jerky) and had a very burnt taste to it—not charred, but burnt. I ate it either way, I don’t like sending food back and creating waste. The only highlight of the entire meal were the fries. The only good side to all of this was getting the check, it was pretty cheap ($30 a person), the coffee was also pretty decent. I don’t think I’d come back willingly.

Guys the music is toooooo loud. It’s hard to converse and enjoy your food when the speaker is right overhead and volume is too high. I had to put in my loop ear plugs just to be able to cancel out some of the noise to speak to my family. Please - why does every restaurant do this now with the music? It’s not relaxing at all. Food was good but the persistent bass made the whole experience less enjoyable.

My first time at The Trestle in Astoria, and I totally get why my girlfriend raves about it! She brought me after celebrating her aunt’s birthday there, where the waiters even had her aunt dancing between the tables. The energy in this place is unmatched—the waiters are fun, lively, and really make the experience special. The music was on point, with an amazing DJ who I’ve heard is often hired for weddings. The atmosphere was incredible, and the food didn’t disappoint either. Definitely a spot I’ll be visiting again. Highly recommend!

Let me start by saying that the food is mediocre. The slider patty isn’t seasoned well and the coconut mojito is sugary to the point where it tastes like a milkshake than a cocktail. I honestly couldn’t taste any liquor. The coffee tasted like instant coffee and the cup it was served in was cracked. Yes, cracked where my fiancé could’ve cut his lips drinking from it. The water glasses were dirty and it was refilled once during the hour and a half we spent there.
Quality issues aside, I still would have given this place at least 3 stars. What really earns the 1 star is the confrontation from the server. He spent his entire time flirting with women discussing his beads and tattoos. After we paid the bill, he confronted us about the 10% tip we left him which given his service was beyond generous.
Long story short, Astoria is such a diverse and up and coming place. There are definitely much better places with much better service to grab brunch from. We won’t be returning.

Good place if you’re between 18-24 and want to be bombarded by loud music at 1 PM, low quality crowd getting drunk and taking TikTok live videos and would like to wait 15 minutes to get water while the server hits on women. Food was decent but the drinks were questionable. Coffee was definitely instant coffee.
Such an amazing experience, Trish was amazing made my bestfriends birthday a great experience 10/10 would definitely recommend and would so go back music was great food was great service was amazing !

BEST spot for brunch !! Everytime I come the staff and food are always amazing. They have great food with a cute atmosphere and they have a DJ too. The manager Trish is a blast and treats her customers great :) definitely recommend!!
