Food great, fresh, hot sauce don’t get it unless you only dipping a tooth pick in it to season your food.Just mad the hours don’t line up .It’s 11:30 on a Sunday I just left the dentist, instructions soft foods only, so why not hit up “THE CRADLE” for some egusi and Iyan with a side of plantains? and they are closed??

Ordered the veggie samosas and they were incredible! Can’t wait to come back and try their other menu items.

New to me, I'm not too familiar with W African cuisine so I tried the samosas on a lark... And I will be BACK! Can't wait to check out everything. Great vibes and wonderful hot sauce!

This is the type of food where you can eat this on a hot beach day and have a nice nap right after or on a rainy day it could be a comfort food to ease you into sleep. This was my comfort food growing up but I couldn’t make it just right. The Cradle makes it just right every time. For those who would like to try Nigerian food, this spot will help explore your options. The owner is easy to talk to about your likes and dislikes and can help you pick your options.

Really bummed their hours aren’t accurate. I was so excited to try this place. Went for dinner during advertised open hours but then found they were closed. Tried to go for lunch today when it says they’re open & once again found a closed sign on the door. Other reviews look amazing but please update your hours of operation!

Brunch in outdoor patio during spring like November group of 4 ordered 2 beef bowls, 1 chicken bowl and rockfish okele plus a side of fried yucca for <70 + tip nd taxes. Each bowl had fried plaintains pigeon peas jollof and tender meat in savory tomato based stew sauce...the okele was spinach with dried fish and crayfish stew and fried fish with steamed yucca mash...a filling feast reminding me of dining in lagos.

Delicious! I love their chicken & beef bowls. Their jollof rice is amazing, and I also love the plantains & broccoli. Everything is so flavorful & fresh. I definitely recommend.

First time and I will be eating from here regularly. This food and smoothie was amazing..I had the vegan bowl, everything was seasoned perfectly. The kale salad, the broccoli omg and the plantains and the Jallof rice was too good???the yellow papaya smoothie was bland but bland is good with seasoned bowls like this...Great job The Cradle ...proud of u❤❤❤

Unique spot in Rockaway. Food is extraordinarily flavorful and healthy. Swing by for lunch after the beach and grab a smoothie to boot. Nice, small outdoor seating area to enjoy your meal.

Staff is so friendly. They will explain anything you’re confused about. The food is great!!! Fresh, healthy, delicious!! Recommend it 200%! Reasoning prices too! Got the egusi soup with mixed meat and iyan (pounded yam), with a side or roasted broccoli and plantains. ??? also try his wife’s hot sauce! Really hits the spot ? this Nigerian food is great
