I’ve been coming here for as long as they’ve been open and it’s one of my favorites for dine in or takeout. Butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, lamb vindaloo, and lamb biryani are the go to’s and are all delicious. Naan and garlic naan are always great. Big fan of the vegetable samosa’s, too. I will agree with some other reviews that the service is a little on the slower side but that’s something that doesn’t bother me too much, I honestly prefer slower service vs. feeling like I’m being rushed out of a place. If you’re looking for some good Indian in Forest Hills, this is a good place to start.

I ordered the butter chicken which comes with white rice. I also ordered the chili garlic Naan. The butter chicken is the best tasting dish I have ever eaten! So freaking delicious! And the Naan? Superb. Just the right amount of heat that I imagined it to be! I will definitely come back to this spot! I promise!

Visit NYC for 6 days and ate twice in this restaurant!! The food and service are top notch! The servers NITA and SELINA are the sweetest and best servers my wife and I have ever seen!! The food is SO tasty 😋 if you want to experience a true Indian restaurant we recommend this one 1,000%

Our first experience at Tikka and Talk was very enjoyable. Starting from the Host Selena and our waitress Nita who was very attentive, courteous and professional. The food was super delicious and the presentation was excellent! I will definitely come back, and highly recommend it. 5 ⭐️

DO NOT ORDER
Ordered somosas that tasted like they forgot the ginger and all forms of desi cooking.
Ordered lamb tikka masala which watery, filled with cumin but the Chicken tikka malai, the inside of the meat was completely raw.
Tasted one spoon per dish and left the entire dish.

Absolutely delicious; every dish I’ve gotten here was quite good. I enjoyed the lamb biryani and the Chicken tikka (hence the name). Probably my favorite Indian spot in queens as of right now

Don’t order from here. Ordered delivery from them a few times because I didn’t have an issue before. However, looks like something must be different with management, because recent reviews on GrubHub are also complaining about what I am. The delivery has taken over an hour (still not here and I don’t expect it to). I’ve called the restaurant and spoken to the same chick. Her favorite phrase is “just give it a few more minutes”. I pointed out to her that she said that phrase to me twenty minutes prior, but this call she’s telling me the delivery guy just left. Then, she tried blaming another coworker that must have picked up the phone. No, ma’am. Same person giving me the same answer with zero information.

This restaurant also has a very good weekend brunch menu as well.

So, started right off with the waitress saying they didn't have either Kingfisher or Taj Majal beer, a first for me after eating Indian for over 30 years. But, whatever, not a deal breaker, just annoying.
What was a deal breaker is the 1 hour it took to get the appetizer, and another 15 minutes it took to get the main course, which, of course came without the naan, which took another 10 minutes or so.
As for the food, chai tea was awful. Malai kofta was about as bland as possible (ordered medium) and mushy. The chana sag (ordered hot) was equally bland and watery, akin to a diluted pea soup with about as much flavor.
Chili paneer and chili garlic naan were more palatable, but the lasooni gobhi was utterly flavorless and dry.
I cannot for the life of me fathom the reviews talking about how authentic this place is. Having eaten in dozens of Indian restaurants in NY, London and India, this place is quite possibly the least authentic Indian restaurant I've been to in over a decade.
