There is a lack of good Indian restaurants in Queens but I can say this restaurant is definitely the best Indian restaurant in Forest Hills (and Central Queens) and one of the best in the city. It's a small restaurant but clean, minimal, and welcoming; one half of the restaurant looks basic while the other half has South Asian inspired murals which is unique. This restaurant focuses on serving popular Indian dishes loved by people in the US, so I got a basic meal of lamb biryani, butter chicken, chili chicken, and cheese naan. The lamb biryani is not made like a slow cooked biryani but it has the flavor of proper Indian biryanis, and the lamb was actually tender and not very gamey. I asked for a medium spice Butter Chicken and I must say this restaurant has some of the best butter chicken and the medium spice is tolerable. I think some people underestimate how hard making a proper butter chicken is, but many restaurants overwhelm the dish with either too much cream or too much tomato so its either too heavy/sweet or too acidic and tomatoey, but this one was very much balanced. The chicken pieces were also soft. The chili chicken was nice and spicy, with some peppers and onions, you get a nice, saucy, spicy, and crunchy dish to start off your meal. The cheese naan was a bit of a let down though, it was not that cheesy and I believe the cheese used was paneer, so it does not give the taste, feel, or pull like mozarella would. Overall, this restaurant has the best Indian food in the neighborhood and does it right. Their staff and manager are also very attentive and they make time to talk to everyone for feedback and meal requests.Vegetarian options: Lot of cauliflower, paneer, and potato dishesWheelchair accessibility: Restaurant is technically in a basement but there is an elevator you can use to go down

Excellent mixed grill which I seem to be ordering once a week. Manager is a really nice guy and generally staff have been great. Saag paneer is also excellent. I dined in once and that was also a good experience. The prices seem to be a bit on the high side but which restaurant isn't expensive these days? The best Indian place in the forest hills / Austin street area.

Went here because my daughter kept talking about it. Chilly March afternoon so it was empty cept one or two other diners. The food was presented well, however it didn't have the depth of colors and richness I'm used to with Indian food. The Tiki Masala was kinda good, looked inviting, but somehow....bland. No kick, no simmer of real spice. The curry dish was tasteless. Just thick chunks of meat, but not gravy? Disappointing. The workers are bland and lack real character. If that's important to you keep that in mind if not, you'll be fine. Male waiter was a bit rude in the beginning but when he picked up we might leave, he changed his tune and turned it around. Not forgiven though.

The service was amazing. The host and server were incredibly friendly. We didn't have any issues at our table, but I overheard the server handling a customers, who was a bit rude, politely and professionally.

One of the best Indian restaurants. And I've been to quite a few(my Indian friends take to eat out often). Try paneer bhurji if you like shredded paneer in creamy sauce. So many places overdo bhurji with oil, but Tikka nailed the flavors without much oil.

My son found this restuarant and was very satisfied with the delicious chicken Biryani and all the other dishes too. They could be a little more attentive to details with the customer service but deserved a 5 star because of their effort in being helpful. Highly Recommended !

My son found this restuarant and was very satisfied with the delicious chicken Biryani & the Kormo Chicken sauce was yummy. and all the other dishes too. They could be a little more attentive to details with the customer service but deserved a 5 star because of their effort in being helpful. One negative thing was when i approached the lady at the cashier to bring up the negative points about little things, like the dish scooping spoons left on the table instead of putting them in the dis itself, like bringing the water bottle to the table but not filling the customers empty glass and so on, I was brushed off with the most idiotic justification..." This is the way We are taught". End of discussion. That loses a rating star that does not take away from the delicious food and minimal effort.
