Was recently here for a bday party which consisted of an amazing, curated wine tasting and delicious snacks. Have also been here for just a glass of wine and dinner on a few occasions and this spot is consistently amazing. Delish food, great wine, amazing staff.

Have been delighted to experience both a wonderful meal in their main dining area as well as one of their fine wine experiences and have been blown away every time. The knowledgeable staff and the care for the craft really makes this place shine. It will remain a spot that I will continue to come back to time and time again!

What are you doing with your life if you are not eating and drinking delectable food and divine drinks at Tootles & French?? You want fancy full plate? Got it. Shareable ‘finger kiss’ small plates? Got it. Hard to find spirits? Got it. A friendly-he might be your next door neighbor-here try this wine-you need this bone marrow dish-owner/server? Got it! Easy atmosphere, your friends, or soon to be friends, are already in the back room sharing a special bottle, place? It’s here. On Ditmars Blvd. please. PLEASE. go. This is some good eating, awesome friendship kind of place. I cannot wait to try the wine classes next.

I have been a few times and there is always a good vibe and consistent food. I wish the wine lists were printed out, but it’s a small detail I can overlook from such a friendly staff. Only bone marrow I can find in Astoria!

This is reviewing both the normal dining experience, plus a private event we held here recently. My husband and I have been coming here since they opened and were always impressed with the caliber of service, food, and of course the wine selection. It's a beautiful space with an ever-changing menu that hasn't disappointed us.

We were even more impressed after hosting our baby shower here this past weekend. Tony, the events coordinator, is quick to schedule meetings and reply to emails, gave us great suggestions for the run-of-show of the day, and really gave us the impression he was as invested in our party as we were. The back room is lovely, easy to decorate, and felt totally removed from the restaurant in the front, making us feel like we had the whole place to ourselves. Our guests raved about the sandwiches and the ambience, no one ever had an empty wine or water glass, and we literally had to kick people out when it was over.

We'll absolutely keep coming here as restaurant patrons but would even faster book this space again for a private event. The biggest thanks to Tony and the whole Tootles and French team for making our baby shower absolutely magical!

Quaint with a Twist: A Charming Urban Eatery

This cozy restaurant offers a delightful blend of rustic charm and modern sophistication. The intimate atmosphere and warm lighting create a welcoming ambiance. The menu features a creative selection of dishes, expertly prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. One of my favorites is the Chopped cheese.Whether you're craving comfort food or something more adventurous, there's something to satisfy every palate. Don't miss out on their signature cocktails, expertly crafted with unique flavor combinations. It's the largest Amaro bar, but if you don't know anything about that, the knowledge staff can teach you. Don't be discouraged. There is a tequila option. Just dont tell them I told you!A must-visit for those seeking a memorable dining experience,a comedy show,or a wine tasting this place has it all!

Tootles & French is such a great place to hang out or have a date night. The service is great and so is the staff! They’re always ready to recommend a glass of wine perfect to your liking and explain what everything is that you ordered with some insightful information. Their food and desserts are both delicious!

I also attended a wine and cheese pairing that was so worth the money! Def recommend checking them out!! ☺️

Had a lovely experience here last week. I got the French's Chopped Cheese. I love the idea of an elevated chopped cheese but there were a few improvements that could be made.

Firstly the bread choice isn't great for this style of sandwich. Rather than sliced bread, you need a hoagie/sub shaped bread, with the middle scooped out a little. I think a fresh loaf of French bread would do well here. It will keep the sandwich together better, and make it easier to eat while also being more akin to a traditional chopped cheese.

Another issue is the way the burger meat is cooked. Currently it's cooked like sloppy joe meat (the ground meat dumped into a pan and sauteed). The meat should first be cooked like a smash burger, high heat smashed thin, cooked quickly, then that burger gets chopped up. The cheese should be melted on top and then tossed around and mixed up before being added to the bun.

I think these changes would be more true to the original sandwich while also improving the taste of the dish!

One of my favorite spots on Ditmars! The wine list is always top-notch, the vibes are spot on, but what truly makes this place special is the amazing service. Can't recommend it enough.

Tootles & French is hands down one of the best wine bars I've been to! The atmosphere is cozy, yet chic, perfect for a night out with girlfriends or for a cute first date. What really sets this place apart is the amazing service! Vanessa at the bar is an absolute gem! She's super friendly, knowledgable, and genuinely passionate about the wine selection. She knows the menu inside and out and gave me one of the best glass of chardonnay I've ever had. From bold reds to crisp whites, her suggestions are always spot on. If you're not sure what to order - just ask Vanessa, You wont be disappointed.

Their wine list is impressive, and they offer delicious small plates that pair perfectly with the drinks. Whether you're a wine newbie or a connoisseur Tootles & French is the place to be. I cant wait to come back. Thank you Vanessa.

The atmosphere is new and refreshing for the neighborhood. Upon coming in, I was seated and served promptly. The staff gauged what drink I would be interested in and crafted a specialty spritz made for fall. Tootles is also a mini-crawl away from the Subway too.
