We brought a few sandwiches for coworker and everyone was like omg where did you get that from. The staff and owner is really nice as well. The prices are great to. Being a sandwich person I would definitely recommend this place. We already decided we’re going back for lunch tomorrow ?

Our non-profit agency had a day camp with 23 teenagers scheduled to visit the Alley Pond Adventure Course. We were going crazy looking for a caterer in the area who would make boxed lunches and deliver them to the park. Uncle Teng's went above and beyond to ensure that we had food that everyone would enjoy and they delivered to the park. Also, their price fit our budget which, if you know about non-profit organizations, is a huge deal. Thank you Uncle Teng's for making our kids smile with your yummy food!! I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

O, Uncle Teng's. I started my food affair with this deli over the last 6-8 months. I became a regular, consistently calling in my french toast and scrambled eggs order, to the point where the phone would be answered, they would hear my voice and recite the order before I even placed it. Martin and the man, who I believe is the owner, have always been so pleasant to interact with and we would share a laugh here and there. My go to breakfast order has always been delicious and always well made. Last Thursday, I go in to pick up my order, as usual, and I engage in a good conversation with the man who is always there, about how their prices increased recently because of wholesale food prices increasing, while the man and Martin looked over their new menu to figure out the updated price for my breakfast. So now, instead of my french toast and scrambled eggs being $5.50, I will be paying $7. I understood, empathized with the small business on having to increase prices, and left on my merry way, knowing I would enjoy my breakfast as usual, and planning my next call in order, since a $1.50 increase isn't totally unreasonable. This morning, I place my order and my significant other goes to pick it up. They come back, with no food or my money, and let me know the person at the deli is saying I didn't give enough money for the order. Entering a state of confusion, I take the short walk to the deli to inquire around the issue. The woman behind the counter proceeds to tell me that the order, french toast and eggs, is $8.70. As I attempt to explain how that doesn't make sense, based on my visit last week and what was shared around the increase to $7 and definitely not $8.70, this woman starts cutting me off, telling me to look at the menu myself, that french toast is $5.99 alone, and that each egg is $1.25. Even with that, the total is not $8.70. I again attempt to explain that it doesn't make sense that a meal that was costing $5.50 has now increased to almost $9, for essentially bread and eggs. This woman opens the bag that the food is in, and says "is this unreasonable for the price?"; she says this multiple times, in a condescending tone, and sarcastically repeats a few times "I'm sorry we charged you too little last week." I not only left Uncle Teng's overly frustrated with how this woman chose to interact with me, a regular customer to this small business, they ended up losing out on my $7 and wasting food in the process, since her rude self didn't bother to ensure that the consumer was satisfied. I will not be returning to this deli, which is very unfortunate. But please, if the owner is reading this, have a talk with how your staff treat and speak to customers.

Staff is friendly. Ordered breakfast and it was delicious. I'm just not used to paying sales tax on a bacon egg and cheese when paying with cash. LOL!

I highly recommend stopping buy Tengs if your in Oakland gardens! From the smoothies to food, they offer a large selection of goodies that always hit the spot. Best part is, they actually make and have everything in their menu. I’m never disappointed ?
