We have been to Valdari restaurant in the past and had a good experience; however, I was extremely disappointed with the service, or lack there of, that was provided by our server last night. We were a party of 6 people with 2 in our party experiencing Valdari for the first time. We got there at 8pm and the place was about 70% full, so not as crowded. It took the server about 10 to 15 minutes after being seated to ask if we would like to start off with a drink. Instead she asked if we were ready to order our meal and seemed preoccupied. It took another 15 minutes before she came back to ask for our food order. We ordered apps first and noticed when apps arrived that no one in our party had forks so the place settings weren't even set and we had to ask a manager to please bring forks because our server could not be found. We waited another 15 to 20 minutes for her to take our main course order and was hoping that she would ask if we would like another round of drinks, but she never did. Quite surprising since restaurants make most of their money from alcohol... again felt like we were being neglected. The food was good so at least that was consistent from the last time we were there. After we were done with our meal we again waited 15 minutes for the server to come around as we wanted to order a second round of drinks. She could not be found and we finally got fed up, flagged down another server and asked for the bill...We were all disappointed and server seemed indifferent to serving us. The slap in the face was the 20% tip they automatically put on the bill... she knew she fell way short of properly serving us and did not care one bit. I or the other people in my party will not be going back. There are many other restaurants in Bayside that provide good service and make you feel welcomed...

This restaurant offers pretty good pizzas. However, the rest of the menu items are unremarkable at best. For example, their Caprese salad came with a harder cheese that we couldn't identify and thin small slices of tomato. The service is also average.

Loved the festive atmosphere for Easter. Live music and the Easter bunny. Food was good ; my eggplant parm was too crispy but good.

Valdari is lovely. The restaurant is clean and lively with a very pleasant staff. We had octopus and meatball (delicious) appetizers and tasty main courses. We will be back.

Date night with hubby and had a nice surprise when we arrived. There was live music! A very busy night but waitress was pretty attentive. Very loud in there though so you had to talk loud to hear each other. Octopus appetizer was delicious! We also had the tartufo pizza and parpadelle pasta. All delicious. For drinks we had The Godfather and a summer cocktail. Very good! We'll be back!

Absolutely amazing Italian food! The chicken parm was perfectly crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and covered in the most flavorful sauce. The pasta was cooked to perfection—so fresh and delicious! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the experience even better. Plus, the music and ambiance created the perfect setting for a great meal. A special shoutout to Susan Agin, whose beautiful and powerful voice elevated the evening; she’s truly the best singer ever. Highly recommend this spot for anyone craving authentic Italian cuisine! Can’t wait to come back! 🍝✨

Very bad service! We waited an hour for our food. No explanation, the waiter told us to wait 5 minutes. We kept waiting... 45 minutes for our appetizers, and then several 5 minutes for our food... We were so hungry.

Came here for a good coal fired pie and Valdari did not disappoint. Perfectly charred crust, highly quality mozz & pepperoni. Rachel, the bartender, was best in class, and made one hell of an Old Fashioned. Easy choice for great Italian food in Bayside.
