i recently moved to astoria and my roommate and i came to this van leeuwen location. it was my first time trying the ice cream here and it did not disappoint!!! i got the praline butter cake and it was soooooooooo good! the employees working were really nice too and let us sample different flavors.

The ice cream is delicious! The staff is great! The place is clean. My only reason for holding back a star is because you can smell the stink of pee coming out of the bathroom.

Van leeuwen ice cream is so delicious. Perfectly creamy. And the flavors are perfectly balanced and always hits perfectly. Seasonal flavors are delicious and their staple pints are always great. Must try flavor is Marion berry cheesecake.

I’ve been in this shop on ditmars blvd. Saturday and Sunday to get a Carmel cone Sunday. They don’t have any Carmel or hot fudge or any of the syrup to make a Sunday. As much as they charge for their Sundays you think whoever does the ordering should have ordered the syrups. It’s very bad business.
