Cannot possibly say enough things about this place and the guy behind the counter. I mean, the short rib pierogis are a life changing experience. The blintzes are wonderful and they have both sweet fruit based ones as well as savory ones with meat and onions and cheese. The hunter sausage is amazing- smoky, flavorful, just awesome- and I was taught that Kielbasa just means sausage. It's a catch all term but we use it here just to refer to the massive Polish sausages (which they have and are delicious (and reasonably priced!)They've really got an enormous selection. The only downside (totally not their fault) is that parking is a HUGE pain in the aaaaaankle. Will definitely be back!

Delicious and freshly prepared food. All the dumplings are increadible, hand made. This place is such a nice addition to the neighborhood which is mainly Polish versions of Eastern European food. This place would cater to anyone Ukranian as well looking for a taste of home cooking.Reasonable prices as well.Those Vareniki should fly off the shelves. They are delicious, and I hear they’re doing take out and delivery now.

Varenyk House has been a go-to lunch spot for me since they opened. The prepared food is delicious and they also have a small butcher counter for chicken, pork, sausage and fish. The service is super friendly and happy to explain anything I'm not familiar with and even give samples. The lunch special is a very generous serving, I can usually make two meals from it. All of the namesake Varenyk dumplings are delicious, you can't go wrong, but the short-rib is a stand out. All the soups are great and they make my favorite borscht in the neighborhood! They also have dessert! They do it all, I love Varenyk House.

Excellent food & service!! We were on the look out for some fresh Ukrainian varenyky and this place did not disappoint. We got hot vareniki with sauerkraut & mushroom as well as vareniki with sour cherry and they were both absolutely delicious. Also purchased some Ukrainian bread and carrot salad which turned out to be an amazing tasty combo.Currently driving home with some refrigerated ready made cheese & potato varenyky that we plan to reheat at home as we were told they can keep in the fridge for up to 5 days. This is apparently one of their popular varenyk flavors and I’m sure they will be delicious too.They have so many more items to try and I love that there are so many vegetarian options too. Great job guys and keep up the amazing work!!I am from out of state but might have to come back to NY for this place!Vegetarian options: Many delicious vegetarian options!

I ordered the short rib and potato with bacon varenyky. They were both so delicious! The borsht and olivye salad was exactly how my grandma used to make it. I will be coming back here to try the rest of the menu. They also have a store inside where they sell a lot of the tradional ukranian foods and I got really good pickles. Service was extremely nice.

Varenyk House is a great place to get Ukrainian food. I recently ordered dumplings and blintzes for a celebratory gathering, and was very impressed with the food and service. They were very helpful in advising me on how much food to order for the number of guests I had, and everything was ready on time and piping hot. The varenyky and blintzes were all delicious, with a variety of fillings to choose from.I would definitely recommend Varenyk House to anyone looking for a delicious and authentic Ukrainian meal. I'll be back for more soon!
